Writer/director Dan Bush and writer Conal Byrne team for the third time, following The Reconstruction of William Zero (2014) and The Vault (2017) with The Dark Red, which tells the story of Sybil – a woman who is being held against her will in a psychiatric ward because her claims are extreme. She says her newborn baby was kidnapped by a secret society to harvest its supernatural blood. She says her families bloodline means her baby has, like her, great psychic powers – including the ability to hear other people’s thoughts. Trapped on a psych ward, subject to a multitude of psychiatric sessions, she begs the doctors to let her go so she can rescue her child from the cult’s dungeons.

"Are you hearing anything or... seeing anything out of the ordinary?" Signature Entertainment in the UK has unveiled the first official trailer for a cult thriller, psychological horror film titled The Dark Red, the latest from genre filmmaker Dan Bush. The film stars April Billingsley as a young woman who is committed to a psychiatric hospital and claims her newborn was stolen by a dark cult, a "secret society to harvest its supernatural blood". But is it true or is she just delusional? The film is described as an "seat-edge twisted shocker" that premiered at the Austin Film Festival late last year, but is still waiting for an official release in the Us. The cast includes Conal Byrne, Bernard Setaro Clark, Jill Jane Clements, John Curran, Rhoda Griffis, and Kelsey Scott. This trailer gets pretty violent and bloody (since there's no MPAA restrictions playing a UK trailer) so watch out.

The tragic and controversial story of Cameron Todd Willingham, who was executed in Texas for killing his three children after scientific evidence and expert testimony that bolstered his claims of innocence were suppressed.

Trial by Fire makes a strong argument that while Cameron Todd Willingham was an abuser and mentally unstable, he did not murder his own three babies in an arson-related incident involving the family home. Subsequently, the state of Texas murdered an innocent man via the death penalty, ignoring this new evidence from a specialty doctor making use of emerging ideas and technology to get to the bottom of what really happened on that tragic night.

First Trailer for Drone Police Dystopian Future Film 'Hover' from Syfy

"Drones - those things are evil." Syfy Films has debuted a new official trailer for an interesting sci-fi film titled Hover, about a drone-filled future where A.I. drones operate as police to manage the few humans left after a deadly, catastrophic drought. Finally, we have the one of the first ever films about evil drones! Well, there's probably been a few others, but now they've made a cheesy Syfy one about bad police drones in a dystopian future. Hover stars Cleopatra Coleman, who also wrote the screenplay, and features Shane Coffey, Craig muMs Grant, Fabianne Therese, Rhoda Griffis, Leo Fitzpatrick, Beth Grant, and Rhonda Johnson Dents. This unfortunately doesn't look that good, surprise surprise from Syfy, but it is still an interesting concept for a film. And they're actually giving it a theatrical release anyway. Take a look. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Matt Osterman's Hover,

'Zootopia' Crushes 'Divergent: Allegiant' at the Box Office with $38M

'Zootopia' Crushes 'Divergent: Allegiant' at the Box Office with $38M
For the past six weeks, just two movies have dominated at the box office. First it was 20th Century Fox's Deadpool, whose three-week reign at the top was ended by Disney's Zootopia. According to the estimates from Box Office Mojo, the animated comedy has won its third week in a row, fending off two two new releases, Lionsgate's The Divergent Series: Allegiant and Miracles from Heaven. The Divergent Series: Allegiant was projected to come out on top, but its lackluster opening and a strong third week for Zootopia kept Disney's winning streak alive.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant was projected to take in $37 million in its opening weekend, which would normally result in an easy win, but it all depended on how much Zootopia dropped in its third frame. Last weekend, the animated blockbuster only dropped 31.9%, but this weekend, it only dropped 25.9%, passing the $200 million domestic milestone with $201.8 million. It has

Can 'Divergent: Allegiant' Stop 'Zootopia' at the Box Office?

Can 'Divergent: Allegiant' Stop 'Zootopia' at the Box Office?
After a three-week stint atop the box office, 20th Century Fox's Deadpool was finally taken down by Disney's Zootopia earlier this month, which is putting together a solid run of its own. The animated comedy will go up against two new releases, Lionsgate's The Divergent Series: Allegiant and Miracles from Heaven in theaters this weekend, but, unlike the Merc With the Mouth, Zootopia isn't expected to reign supreme for a third week in a row. According to the projections at Pro.BoxOffice.com, The Divergent Series: Allegiant should come out on top in its first weekend in theaters. But perhaps not by a strong margin.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant is projected to take in $37 million in its opening weekend, which would normally result in an easy win, but it all depends on how much Zootopia drops in its third frame. Last weekend, the animated blockbuster only dropped 31.9%, and if it drops that much again,
