Franz Josef Gottlieb was born on 1 November 1930 in Semmering, Lower Austria, Austria. He was a director and writer, known for The Black Abbot (1963), Mister Dynamit - Morgen küßt euch der Tod (1967) and Der Fluch der gelben Schlange (1963). He was previously married to Elisabeth Krogh and Doris Kirchner. He died on 23 July 2006 in Verden an der Aller, Germany.
