One of my favorite sitcoms of all time would have to be The Brady Bunch, so the idea of one of my new favorites, The Goldbergs, drawing from the former excites me to no end. Let’s take a look at this week’s episode of The Goldbergs, “George! George Glass!” The main story in the episode is, of course, about relationships. Adam, now a freshman in high school, is trying to impress his latest crush. She isn’t really interested in him (and he can only use the older Adam Goldberg as an excuse for so long), so he takes the idea from The Brady Bunch to

Let's just take a moment to #flashbackfriday and think about the genius that was The Brady Bunch Movie and its even better follow up, A Very Brady Sequel. Well, in the ultimate example of what the Internet does best, people have rediscovered the brilliance of the movie and Jan's middle-child syndrome misery. "Marcia Marcia Marcia!" was the name of the game, and poor Jan just couldn't live up to her perfect sister's (Christine Taylor) life, except when it came to boyfriends. Who could forget when Jan spilled that she was dating non-existent George Glass, a figment of her imagination and a glass of Tropicana orange juice? No one could forget, and now the Internet has come back strong by making a...

It’s the penultimate episode of one of the longest running sci-fi series on TV, what absolutely amazing monster of the week case will they go out with? If you said “Benjamin Linus from Lost creates The Brady Bunch house with his mind”…you’d be right…unfortunately.
Two friends are drinking beer outside a house at night. One friend tells the other that the house looks exactly like The Brady Bunch house on the inside and convinces the other to check it out with him. The door is unlocked so they wander inside to find that it’s true, every detail matches that of The Brady Bunch house. The one friend starts to get freaked out and leaves, but the other explores upstairs…where he is promptly ejected from the house through the ceiling and lands on the roof of his friends car, dead.
I should probably take this...

Since everyday is likely to be a slow news day this week, I'm giving you the full listings for Christmas week. (Be sure to note that Christmas isn't enough to get in the way of snicks following Days of Our Lives with liveblogs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday!) I hope you all have a safe, happy and delicious holiday!

Over the weekend, TNT cancelled Leverage, making Tuesday's season finale, the series' swan song. On the bright side, fans had a couple weeks to prepare for the bad news as producer Dean Devlin wrote that, foreseeing this cancellation, the episode was written to work as a season or series finale.
The next season of The Walking Dead won't have Glenn Mazzara as showrunner any more. This prompted Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter and The Shield creator Shawn Ryan (Mazzara,...

Since this was a Survivor episode about important things like God's plan and Lisa's hot brother, allow me to begin with an important confession: I rooted against Malcolm last night. Now stop crying! Listen up! I'm no turncoat and I still want to bathe in his gnarled locks, but it's hard not to sympathize with underlings Lisa and Skupin, who are still semi-oblivious to how sealed their fates are. We're all having such a good time with this delicious Survivor season that we're forgetting how Malcolm and Denise remain this game's unholy, yet even-keel sorcerers. Yes, Denise was almost eliminated last week, but thanks to the control that she and Malcolm exert over Lisa, she's still dominating this island with the sheer force of her 31-pound frame. If Lisa and Skupin have any sense, they'll recruit Abi to vote off Malcolm or Denise next week. But is that even possible?...

Lisa Whelchel, it's been real, but your stint on Survivor: Philippines is already disappointing. You've brought none of Blair Warner's flair to the proceedings, and you prove your Survivor cred is lacking with quotes like, "I can only play with the cards I've been given!" Guess who doesn't leave their fate up to the "cards" dealt by other players? People like Parvati Shallow. Russell Hantz. You know, Survivor super-champs.
Thus, it's time to think about which sitcom legends should join Survivor next. I love seeing TV stars of yore regain screentime, so this is a perfect opportunity to highlight other greats who 1) could slip by without the other contestants recognizing them, 2) are cooler than the anti-gay Whelchel, and 3) would be, uh, interesting. Here are our seven best options.
1. Dawn Wells (Gilligan's Island)
This is my most controversial choice because Wells is both 73 and still very recognizable, but come On. Her...

We try and persuade the director of Bridesmaids, Paul Feig, to put together a 20th anniversary Freaks And Geeks reunion. And we ask him lots about Bridesmaids, too.
It's been a long time coming, but with Bridesmaids finally hitting big, Paul Feig has a significant hit to his name. It's well deserved, too, and follows the likes of the mighty Freaks And Geeks earning massive acclaim, but promptly being cancelled, by people time has proven should have known better.
As Bridesmaids finally arrives in the UK, we caught up with Paul Feig to ask him a few questions...
I've followed lots of your stuff over the years, and I think it's fair to say that you've never had anything that's come close to doing $136m at the Us box office?
No, definitely not! I'm not used to it at all!
Is it an odd feeling now, and is that commercial success important to you?...

Is it better to blend in or stand out?
It's a question everybody must have asked themselves at some point or another, particularly in the (peer) pressure cooker of high school. Easy A is about a good student named Olive (Emma Stone) who blends in. One day, ashamed of a lame weekend she spent alone at home, she lies to her best friend Rhiannon (Aly Michalka) and makes up a story. The lie quickly escalates as her bestie grills her. Before you can say "George Glass," Olive has not just invented an imaginary beau but she's also lost her virginity to him.
Word gets out...

P.S. And in case you missed it earlier, I raved about Emma Stone's star-making moves a couple of days ago for Tribeca Film for my "Best in Show" column.

Refresh your screen often for updates.
6:30 So Kevin McHale of Glee was very nearly the first person "E!" has talked to that I remotely cared about. He's wearing a yellow bowtie -- I almost typed yellow boytoy -- Weird. I blame Madonna.
Glee Boys.
Kevin named Sally Field as his celebrity crush (!) and Brothers & Sisters as his favorite show. I hope he was conveniently forgetting this past season because it blew.
Moments before Ryan Seacrest was actually wishing Emmys on the Jersey Shore cast. I am so embarrassed for everyone. E! should have rechristened themselves S! for Shameless or Stoopid long long ago. But at least they changed their red carpet people and got rid of the silver haired pancaked makeup person.
6:40 Claire Danes looking gorgeous with relaxed hair and shimmery gown. A Truth: I sometimes wonder what Angela Chase would think of Claire Danes. It's not that...
