‘Queen Sugar’ Season 4 Trailer: An American Family Divided By Some Hard Truths & A Bestseller
“Have you lost your mind?’ screams Dawn-Lyen Gardner’s Charley Bordelon in the upcoming fourth season of Queen Sugar.

One look at the new trailer (See Above) of the Ava DuVernay and Oprah Winfrey executive produced Own drama certainly gives the impression that the world and the tight-knit Louisiana family have done just that. When eldest sister Nova Bordelon (Rutina Wesley) pens a bestselling memoir with a very revealing look at her life, her siblings, her relatives and their past, that intimacy we’ve seen in past seasons threatens to be changed and shatter, perhaps permanently.

As was announced in March, with an all-female directed season and Anthony Sparks taking over as showrunner from Kat Candler, Queen Sugar returns for its fourth season on June 12.

As you can see from the just released key art, the lines of division between the sisters, their younger brother Ralph Angel (Kofi Sirboe), the

#StayInLine Says Common, Ava DuVernay & Hillary Clinton Of Georgia Poll Problems

  • Deadline
Worries of voter suppression has been a part of the gubernatorial race in the great state of Georgia since Democrat Stacey Abrams and Republican Brian Kemp secured their respective party’s nominations – and today it looks like problems are popping up all over the Peach State.

Shuttered polling stations, broken voting machines and claims of hacking are marring the contest in Hollywood South already and leading to long long lines for hopeful voters. Add to that the fact that many, including the likes of former President and Georgia native Jimmy Carter and Oprah Winfrey, have called out the apparent contradiction of Kemp holding the job of the state’s chief electoral administrator in the tight race with Abrams.

Just as polls start closing in Georgia, the problems that people are experiencing has an Oscar winner, the creator and one of the stars of Queen Sugar, the co-star of A Star Is Born,

35 Worthy Contenders if Emmy Recognition was Fair!

The best part about award nomination time is the recognition for our favorite shows and actors.

The worst part, however, is knowing that so many shows and actors fall through the cracks because the competition is steep. Then there is the matter of shows (and actors) who are seldom considered at all due to their genre or their network.

While there is a redundancy in many of the shows and actors lauded each year, there is a sea of talent ignored and shows overlooked.

How amazing would it be if the Emmy's recognized supernatural and sci-fi shows as often as they do genre specific dramas? What if the Jane the Virgin's and the Mr. Robot's weren't exceptions to the rule and shows that fall on the USA Network or The CW stood a chance?

Can you imagine how many talented actors, directors, writers and more would receive honors if the powers that be took Freeform,
