Jason Goes To Hell Documentary Reveals Previously Unseen Bts Images

To be honest, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday is my least favorite entry into the entire Friday the 13th series, but I can at least understand why it has its supporters. Boasting an outlandish plot which saw Mr. Voorhees hop from body to body, I guess it was to be expected that not everyone would take to this sharp left turn from the norm, but you kind of have to admire the filmmakers for sticking to their guns.

Now, in preparation for the flick’s 25th anniversary, Nick Hunt is directing a new documentary, Dark Heart of Jason Voorhees: The Making of the Final Friday, which seems pretty self-explanatory. But, if you require a little more information, you should be thrilled to know that Jason Goes to Hell director Adam Marcus – and others – are willing to spill their guts regarding the movie’s production. Who knows, maybe he

DVD Review – Stone Cold (1991)

Stone Cold, 1991.

Directed by Craig R. Baxley

Starring Brian Bosworth, William Forsythe, Sam McMurray, Richard Gant and Lance Henriksen.

Synopsis:

Joe Huff, a suspended, tough guy cop, is recruited by the FBI to infiltrate the Brotherhood, a white supremacist biker gang planning revenge after one of their crew is sentenced to life in prison, and adopts the alias John Stone to go undercover and stop them…

It’s hard to take Stone Cold at any point seriously, and you have to wonder how anyone at the time tried to either – 1991 comparatively wasn’t that long ago. There are times when you sense Craig R. Baxley’s pulp action thriller understands how silly it is, and times it occasionally gets lost in its own machismo. If you can imagine an ultra-violent, bigger budget episode of Sons of Anarchy, with the melodrama and cheesy hysteria dialled up to eleven, that’s pretty

Evolution of a Champ: The Rocky Film Saga

On March 24th, 1975, struggling actor Sylvester Stallone spent his last few dollars to see boxing champ Muhammad Ali fight Chuck Wepner. Thought to be an easy win, Ali surprisingly met his match: a career brawler who was having the fight of his life. Fifteen rounds and an Ali knockdown later, Wepner lost. But the scrappy no name fighter inspired Stallone, who emerged from a twenty-hour writing binge with a screenplay and an underdog character named Rocky Balboa.

The script quickly became a hot property in Hollywood, and several attempts were made to purchase it for stars like Burt Reynolds and Ryan O’Neal. But Stallone refused, knowing full well that no one could play the part like he could. Stallone eventually got his wish at United Artists, and under director John G. Avildsen, the rest became movie history. Released in 1976, Rocky was a global sensation, winning a Best Picture Oscar

The Mindy Project Recap: Credit Card, Baby
Herein, we witness some reasonably entertaining treading of water between major plot developments. But hey, I’ve seen worse on television. For starters, we have Mindy’s line: “I have exquisite credit. I have 25 credit cards.” See, she has just persuaded Danny to move to San Francisco, because we are still pretending like that’s a possibility, and she is still trying to start a practice with Dr. Gurglar. And “the little Mindy” is not what she calls her crotch, despite what she claims in this episode. She is definitely still pregnant — a tiny part of me was still skeptical, but this seems to further solidify matters. In any case, Richard Gant, of the criminally underrated Men of a Certain Age, plays Danny’s lawyer, when Danny wants to change his will in light of Mindy’s pregnancy. You should all go back and watch Men of a Certain Age,

Bunheads Spoilers: New (Old) Boyfriends and Kleptomania

Slowly but surely, Michelle has been drawn into the Bunheads web, her once-adamant desire to get out of Paradise being cooled by an improving relationship with Fanny and four young bunheads that take classes at the studio. It's not exactly how the former dancer expected to be spending her time in California, but once Hubbell passed, she needed people in her life and like it or not, this is who she's got. Michelle may not be ready to take another huge step, going from the dance floor to the sidelines and teach, but upcoming episodes of Bunheads indicate her embracing a more authoritative role with the girls and bonding a little more with Fanny.

Listed below are the dates, initial airings, episode names, and episode descriptions for the next two episodes of Bunheads.

TV Review: Strong Cast Anchors Drama of ‘Men of a Certain Age’

Chicago – TNT’s “Men of a Certain Age,” returning this week to finish out its second season with six episodes that the producers promise will be backed with character-driven drama, has quietly grown not just a loyal following but a reasonably strong critical foundation as well. With an Emmy nomination for its first season likely to be followed by another one this year, Andre Braugher, Scott Bakula, and Ray Romano continue to anchor their tales of the modern male mid-life crisis in believable, well-written drama. After initially writing off the show in its series premiere, my tune has definitely changed. This is worth your time.

Television Rating: 4.0/5.0

As we’ve been going through the Fall pilots on the networks, one things is abundantly clear — high-concept hooks have been deemed more important than ever. There are ghosts (“A Gifted Man”), fairy tale creatures (“Once Upon a Time”), spy stewardesses (“Pan Am

But with two new releases this weekend, including The Rite with Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins, and The Mechanic starring Jason Statham, the romcom was unable to successfully defend its crown.

Debuting at number one this week is the new horror film, The Rite. The movie stars Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins (Red Dragon), along with Ciar&#225n Hinds (Miami Vice), Alice Braga (Predators), Toby Jones (Amazing Grace), and Rutger Hauer (Batman Begins). TV Review: Talented Stars Carry ‘Men of a Certain Age’

Chicago – It has yet to approach the writing standards of the best television on the air right now but the stars of “Men of a Certain Age” continue to make it one of the more interesting programs on cable. As Andre Braugher, Scott Bakula, and Ray Romano continue to get more comfortable in the shoes of these three leads, the program around them continues to improve. This is quality, well-written drama without a sci-fi hook or period piece detail. It’s worth your time.

Television Rating: 4.0/5.0

Not only do the stars of “Men of a Certain Age” get better with every episode, but the writing and direction (the biggest problems in season one) seem to be improving as well with the start of season two. I’ll still never understand why so much of the show needs to be shot with a handheld camera and usually from a distance and

Andre Braugher on his Emmy nod for 'Men of a Certain Age'

Andre Braugher on his Emmy nod for 'Men of a Certain Age'
Good news for TNT’s promising new drama Men of a Certain Age: Though the network only aired 10 episodes of the series about three middle-aged men living in Los Angeles, it was enough to convince Emmy voters to nominate co-star Andre Braugher in the supporting actor category. Braugher plays Owen Thoreau Jr., the schlubby manager of a car dealership that’s owned by his overbearing father (Richard Gant).

“I was looking for a new challenge,” Braugher says of the series created by Everybody Loves Raymond’s Ray Romano and Mike Royce. “The last thing I wanted to do these

Eddie Murphy Planning New Nutty Professor Movie

Eddie Murphy has thrilled fans by announcing plans for a new Nutty professor movie. The funnyman starred as larger-than-life scientist Sherman Klump in two movies, in 1996 and 2000.

The films were both box office smashes - and Murphy admits he's already written a rough draft for a third installment. He tells Access Hollywood, "You know what, there might be another Nutty Professor. We kind of wrote something that might be kind of funny. If the studios want to do it, we'll do it. If you don't see it, the studio was like, 'This isn't funny.'"

The 1996 remake of the Paramount Pictures' science fiction comedy has Eddie Murphy playing opposite Jada Pinkett Smith, James Coburn and Dave Chappelle. Meanwhile, the 2000 "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps" sees him sharing screen with Janet Jackson, Anna Maria Horsford and Richard Gant.

'Men of a Certain Age' - 'Back in the S#!t' Recap (Season Finale)

'Men of a Certain Age' - 'Back in the S#!t' Recap (Season Finale)
(S01E10) A lot of things have changed for our favorite trio of men over the past nine episodes, and yet this tenth and final episode of the season managed to push each of them boldly into even bigger moments in their lives. For one, the change is definitely good. For another, it certainly has the potential for greatness. The third is completely up in the air.

Everything that's great about this show was on display in this installment. There is not a member of this cast who isn't knocking their performances out of the park on this show. Just as I was about to write that Scott Bakula was particularly impressive this week, I remembered a couple of scenes between Andre Braugher and Richard Gant (as his father) that were simply awe-inspiring. And then there's Ray Romano in the car with his son Albert, played by Braeden Lemasters. With very little dialogue,

Photos – The Deep End 1.01

The Deep End, the new midseason show from ABC, premieres on January 21st. Normally, I might say something along the lines "oh, no…..not another law show". But I've fallen in love with The Good Wife, so I'm not as skeptical lately.

Plus, I just took a look at the promo photos for the pilot episode and realized that this show stars Billy Zane. Billy Zane! Dude is badass. I don't know why, I just love him. And you know that if a walk-off breaks out in the show, Billy Zane will be around to call it. So things are already looking up.

Oh, and for all you Twilight fans, that chick who got fired from the third movie is making a guest appearance in the pilot episode on January 21st. Check out the photos below. I'm hoping to get some video previews for you all soon.
