In 2015 John Gaeta co founded Lucasfilm's Immersive Entertainment division called ILMxLAB. ILMxLAB is a pioneer in Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, HoloCinema (Holographic Cinema) and future Theme Parks. John Gaeta acts as it's Executive Creative Director guiding it's portfolio of premium Experiences with an emphasis on Star Wars. In 2017 ILMxLAB collaborated with Alejandro G. Iñárritu to create CARNE y ARENA which was the Cannes Film Festival's first ever special selection for virtual reality.
