British Academy Award Winning composer Troels B. Folmann is specialized
in hybrid-orchestration for motion picture and video games - known for
his large, epic sound and brain burning themes. Folmann is also a Ph.D.
scholar specialized in composition for video games.
Folmann got his first major recognition for his multi-award winning score for Tomb Raider Legend (2006) and his consecutive scores for the franchise. In addition he has scored over 200 motion picture trailers, including several Harry Potter trailers, Batman, Spiderman, Xmen, Pirates of the Caribbean etc.
In 2008 Folmann created a company, tonehammer.com together with long time friend and colleague, Mike Peaslee. Tonehammer is the leading provider of virtual instruments for composers and are featured in the majority of popular motion picture, tv-shows and games: including: Avatar, 2012, District 9, Tron, Clash of the Titans, Karate Kid, Sex and the City, CSI, American Idol, Desperate Housewives, Dexter, Supernatural and video games such as Mass Effect 2, Starcraft 2, God of War, Gears of War etc.
In 2010 Folmann created another company, 8dawn.com specialized in high-end trailer music.
