Mini Bio (1)

Jake Fogelnest started a television show, from his New York City bedroom, when he was fourteen-years-old.

Squirt TV (1994) made its debut in January of 1994 on Manhattan public access. The show featured Jake spouting off his opinions of music, film and television. Jake wrote, produced, directed and edited the entire series, himself. The one-man show quickly became a cult success in Manhattan. Jake's quirky style, sense of humor and edgy commentary attracted an A-list fan base of night owls including, The Beastie Boys, Janeane Garofalo and Eric Bogosian -- just to name a few.

In January of 1996, "Squirt TV" evolved from Public Access to the mass audience of MTV. Still recorded from Jake's bedroom, the show featured more celebrity guests, including Adam Sandler, Beck and The Kids In The Hall -- some of whom had appeared on "Squirt TV" in its original Public Access incarnation.

Starting in 1999, Fogelnest became a regular writer/director at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York. From 2000- 2005, he contributed jokes to Weekend Update on "Saturday Night Live."

From 2006-2014, Fogelnest had a show on Sirius XM's College rock/Indie rock channel, Sirius XMU. He was also heard on Sirius XM Alt Nation. Fogelnest left Sirius XM in November 2014 to focus full time on writing for television.

In 2014, Jake Fogelnest also served as a staff writer/director at Funny Or Die.
