Emoji Movie Tops 2018 Razzie Awards Winners List
In what will come as a shock to probably nobody, The Emoji Movie has won the Worst Picture Award at the 2018 Razzie Awards. The T.J. Miller starring movie was destined for the award right from the start when it received an unprecedented zero percent on Rotten Tomatoes during its opening weekend. It has since climbed to a respectable six percent on the popular movie review aggregate website. In a statement, Razzies organizers branded the film a "talking poop opus," which is pretty much true except for the opus part.

The Emoji Movie took home Worst Picture along with a few other honors at the 2018 Razzie Awards. Worst Onscreen Combo also went to the movie, but it wasn't specific and just said that it went to any two Emoji characters on the screen together at the same time. The Emoji Movie also took home the Worst Director Award, which went to Anthony (Tony) Leondis.

Based on Kevin Wignall’s novel For the Dogs, The Hunter’s Prayer is a EuropaCorp-wannabe that sorely needed the guidance of Luc Besson and his team to pull this out of the by-the-numbers Bourne-inspired, generic action thriller doldrums within which it resides.

There are a plethora of really shitty movies based on video games being released each year. None of them holding a candle to the source material it is based on. However each and every time I get suckered in because I want to be impressed by these attempts, as a movie fan and a gamer I need to be impressed. And let’s be honest, the premise of the Dead Rising games is just about absurd enough to work as a movie and with this being the second outing well have they learnt.

Dead Rising: Endgame Review

I don’t understand Crackle’s Dead Rising franchise. Capcom built this zany, wild video game universe that’d be perfect for a hybrid experience somewhere between The Warriors and 28 Days Later, yet these movies are generically neutered. References to original content are just lazy winks, while the whole “psychopaths” arc is completely abandoned in favor of a boring Zombrex conspiracy. I was hoping that Dead Rising: Endgame would atone for Watchtower‘s forgettable adaptation, but, unfortunately, new director Pat Williams falls victim to the same dull tricks from Zach Lipovsky’s first attempt.

Jesse Metcalfe once again stars as investigative journalist Chase Carter, who must journey into the heart of East Mission to stop General Lyons (Dennis Haysbert) from killing every Zombrex-using survivor. Sony's streaming network Crackle has released the first trailer for "Dead Rising: Endgame," the upcoming sequel to the first "Dead Rising" film based on the popular Capcom video game franchise.

The film will premiere exclusively on Crackle on June 20th and stars Jesse Metcalfe, Keegan Connor Tracy, Dennis Haysbert, Billy Zane, Jessica Harmon and Marie Avgeropoulos. Pat Williams directs from a script by Michael Ferris ("Terminator Salvation").

Crackle’s Undead Army Marches On With Zombie Sequel Dead Rising: Endgame

Ducking out of a theatrical run in the vein of its predecessor, Sony’s Crackle and Legendary are partnering to release zombie-infested sequel Dead Rising: Endgame across streaming and video-on-demand services later in 2016, and it’s understood production is now officially underway on the film’s Vancouver set.

Continuing on the undead adventure, Jesse Metcalfe (John Tucker Must Die) reprises his Watchtower role as Chase Carter, now tasked with unravelling new mysteries that spawn a government conspiracy. In attempting to manufacture a cure, the plot description hints that the afflicted residents of East Mission City were instead used as the test subjects for Billy Zane’s “handsome, cruel” scientist, Rand.

Sony’s Crackle online network is coming back for more undead action.

Crackle and Legendary Digital Media have begun production in Vancouver on “Dead Rising: Endgame,” the sequel to last year’s original feature film on the streaming-video service, “Dead Rising: Watchtower.” The second installment in the film series, announced at Crackle’s upfront last year, is scheduled to debut on this summer.

“Dead Rising: Endgame” is set in the zombie-infested quarantined zone of East Mission City. Xander Cage edges closer to a return, as the cast for xXx 3 starts to come together...

It's looking like the long-mooted xXx 3 might finally be getting moving. Whilst Vin Diesel's immediate priority is to shoot Fast & Furious 8 ahead of its release next year, he's expected to film the third Xander Cage movie before 2016 is out (with Riddick 4 next after that). What's more, we've learned of some casting for the movie, that suggests it may well be full steam ahead for the xXx sequel.

Diesel will be reprising the role of Xander Cage, and he's set to be joined in the movie by Jet Li, Tony Jaa and Deepika Padukone. Their exact roles have not yet been revealed.

xXx 3 is set to be directed by D J Caruso, with Michael Ferris and John Brancato on scripting duties. More on the movie has we hear it.

Tony Jaa, Jet Li and Indian star Deepika Padukone have joined the cast of the third film in the "xXx" film series.

Entitled "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage," Vin Diesel returns to the role of the extreme sports enthusiast enlisted to become a secret agent which he first played in 2002. Samuel L. Jackson's Nsa agent Augustus Gibbons is also back, while Ufc Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor is said to have a role.

Michael Ferris and John Brancato ("Terminator Salvation") penned the most recent script draft with Neal H. Moritz to produce and D.J. Caruso set to direct.

Vin Diesel’s Xander Cage will soon be returning to the big screen in the upcoming third installment of the xXx series, titled xXx: Return of Xander Cage, but a recent post on the actor’s Facebook account confirms that another actor is set to reprise his role as well.

On Monday, Diesel sent out the following picture with a caption that read, “Excited to work with Sam again… his portrayal of Gibbons was so good… timeless. Welcome to the Xander Zone!”…

Samuel L. Jackson played Nsa Agent Augustus Gibbons in both 2002’s xXx and 2005’s xXx: State of the Union (which in fact didn’t star Diesel), and Diesel’s post makes it clear that he will return. At this point, he is undoubtedly a staple of the franchise and a necessary addition to the cast.

Diesel also recently made two other interesting announcements on his Instagram account regarding the film.

Vin Diesel confirms that xXx: The Return of Xander Cage will shoot this year

After enjoying monumental success with this summer’s Fast & Furious 7 ($1.51 billion so far), Vin Diesel looks like he might be stepping back into another old familiar with word from his official Instagram that xXx 3 is on the horizon.

xXx 3 has long been touted as a potential future vehicle for Diesel, moreso after he ressurrected Riddick in 2013. Set to be entitled xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, it looks like the third installmenet will go before the cameras this Christmas, with Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines writer Michael Ferris and John Brancato working on the most recent version of the script. No director is yet attached.

xXx3 is said to be set to start filming in December. xXx3: Vin Diesel reveals that the revival of his other action franchise will kick off shooting in December.

Action star Vin Diesel has announced to the world via his Instagram account that xXx 3 will start shooting in the Phillipines in December.

The film will be the second sequel to xXx, which was released back in 2002, and the Diesel-less sequel xXx: State Of The Union (aka xXx2: The Next Level in the UK), which hit screens with Ice Cube starring in 2005. The company has wrapped up a slew of sales on Jonathan Mostow’s upcoming thriller starring Sam Worthington and Odeya Rush.

Principal photography is set to begin this week in Yorkshire on the story of a hitman who goes on the run across Europe with the woman he was hired to kill. Martin Compston, Amy Landecker and Verónica Echegui also star.

Paul Leyden, Oren Moverman, John Brancato and Michael Ferris adapted the screenplay from Kevin Wignall’s novel The Dogs.

Deals have closed in Germany (Square One), Latin America (Sun), South Korea (Focus And Company), South Africa (Ster Kinekor), Hong Kong and Taiwan (Sound Space), Switzerland (Ascot Elite) and former Yugoslavia (Blitz).
