Frankie Faison was born on June 10, 1949 in Newport News, Virginia, USA. He is an actor, known for Coming to America (1988), Do the Right Thing (1989) and White Chicks (2004). He has been married to Jane Mandel since December 26, 1988. They have three children.

Studied drama at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL.
Despite the fact that there were numerous characters in common between them, Faison is the only actor to appear in all of the first four Hannibal Lector films: Manhunter (1986) as Lt. Fiske and The Silence of the Lambs (1991), Hannibal (2001) and Red Dragon (2002) as Barney the Orderly.
Was nominated for Broadway's 1987 Tony Award as Best Actor (Featured Role - Play) for August Wilson's "Fences."
Is a member of Theta Chi fraternity.
