- Ellen Fontana (a.k.a. Erwin) grew up in a small seacoast town near Boston, Massachusetts, migrated west to California, and received a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Dramatic Arts from the University of California, Davis. Over the past twenty years, she has held various positions in the motion picture industry and has developed, written and produced a wide range of feature film and television projects. Most recently, Ellen has worked with award winning Australian writer, Tim Winton, adapting his beloved novel, Cloudstreet (2011), into a 6 hour mini-series, which premiered on Australian pay-TV May-June 2011. Together with Tim Winton, Ellen was nominated for an AACTA award for Best Screenplay in Television for Part 3 of Cloudstreet (2011), and the published book, "Cloudstreet: the Screenplay", by Tim Winton and Ellen Fontana (Penguin), was awarded the 2011 Western Australian Premier's Book Prize, Scripts Award (announced September 17, 2012).
Ellen is a N.Y. Times Best Selling co-author of the biography, "The Audrey Hepburn Treasures", and her latest work, "Audrey 100", featuring a collection of 100 photos selected by Audrey Hepburn's family, was published in November 2010. Ellen was also a contributing author on the cult classic, What the #$*! Do We (K)now!? (2004) companion book and edited "Dr. Quantum in The Grandfather Paradox", part of the series of children's books on quantum physics.
