Christian Epps' career as a lighting designer has spanned more than two
decades covering the range from major motion pictures, broadcast
television, live theater, dance, music videos and special events. TV;
President Clinton: Live at the White House, 1996 Centennial Olympic
Games - Badminton Competition & numerous press areas. Black Movie
Awards (TNT). John Leguizamo's Broadway show Freak (HBO). Dinner & A
Movie (TBS). Man-Made Movie (TBS). The Jacksons' Reality Show (A&E).
Source Awards, Stellar Awards, Comic View, 106 & Park, Jamie Foxx's
Laffapalooza, 'The Tom Joyner Show' (Syndicated). 'The Brian McKnight
Show, The Weather Channel, Bill Cosby's web content OBKB. Film;
Christian's passion for dramatic lighting has been put to use with
notable directors such as Spike Lee, Hype Williams, Ava DuVernay, David
Lowery. Ice Cube. Music video; Michael Jackson, P. Diddy, Biggy Smalls,
R. Kelly, Whitney Houston, Queen Latifah, Me'Shell N'degeocello, TLC,
Boyz II Men, and many, many more. He served as the gaffer on 'Belly',
directed by the seminal music video director Hype Williams. Corporate;
Nike, IBM, Sprite, McDonald's, Buena Vista Television, GE Capitol,
Paramount Studios, Home Depot, ESPN, Buick, Kaiser Permanente, Amtrak,
Panasonic. Disney Imagineering selected Christian to participate in
their very exclusive concept program known as 'Blue Sky'. Recent
projects; Beck & Lincoln Automotive (commercial), The Door (a short
film for fashion brand Prada), Ain't Them Bodies Saints, (Sundance
Cinematography Award winning movie). From 2006 to 2009 Mr. Epps has
been working in Lagos, and Abuja Nigeria. He designed the lighting rig
and coordinated many of the technical departments for the concert
series known as 'This Day Music Festival' for 4 years - featuring
Beyonce, Snoop Dog, Shakira, John Legend, Mary J. Blige, Usher,
Rihanna, Jay-Z, UB-40, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, and a Fashion show with
international design star Oswald Boateng among others. In 2012 he
worked with Jungle Films and Nigerian Breweries to design the lighting
for 2 popular reality TV shows - Star Quest and Maltina Dance All. In
addition, he designed the biggest hip hop awards show in the country -
The Hip Hop Awards. Christian was brought in to work with the local
vendors and local crews to produce a quality product. After 8 jobs in
Lagos Mr. Epps is glad to say that the local crews have grown the
quality of their product and all are very proud of that fact! Now Mr.
Epps is in the early phase of producing concerts in Lagos. Venue;

Academy of Music, The Apollo Theatre, The White House, The Superbowl
Fan Experience, Trinidad & Tobago Jazz Fest, St. Lucia Jazz Festival,
This Day Festival (Lagos, Nigeria), throughout the Caribbean, as well
as numerous countries on three continents Awards; LA Drama Critics'
Circle Career Achievement Award, Backstage West Award, NAACP Theatre
Award, Soloman Award (Architectural Renovation Design). Producer; Mr
Epps has produced a commercial (Nat'l Black Arts Festival), Technical
Producer - The CIAA Basketball Conference. Co-producer of Technical
Services for The American Black Film Festival for 15 years. Mr. Epps is
a graduate of Howard University and a scholarship recipient at NYU's
Tisch School Of The Arts - Graduate Design program.
