David and Victoria Get Fancy in Black Tie to Honor Their Friend Marc Anthony
David and Victoria Beckham arrived at the Beverly Hilton last night in matching black, formal ensembles for the 20th Annual Ascap Latin Music Awards. The Beckhams stepped out to support their friend, and musician, Marc Anthony. Marc arrived with his new girlfriend Shannon De Lima, and later in the evening was presented with the Ascap's Founders Award from David and Ascap president and chairman Paul Williams. Upon accepting the crystal statue from David and Paul Mark joked, "When I left home today I felt handsome, and then they stand me next to this." David and Victoria are one of the best dressed couples in Hollywood, but he's also admitted to making a few fashion missteps in the past. 2010 Sydney Underground Film Festival: Award Winners

The Sydney Underground Film Festival recently wrapped up their 4th annual killer year on Sept. 11 with nearly half of all their screenings completely selling out.

Awards this year were given out in three sections. First, there were three Director’s Choice Awards chosen by the festival. Then, there are a selection of Jury Awards for categories such as Innovative Narrative, Unique Aesthetic, Provocative and more. The jury consisted of filmmakers Dean Francis and Tom Cowan, and artist Mark Wotherspoon.

Lastly, each short film block of the festival had an Audience Award given to a single film in that block. However, there were also special notations given to two films that received the most and the second most votes total of all short films in all blocks.

The full lineup of winners is below. Some of the big winners were Stuart Simpson‘s El Monstro Del Mar!, which won the Jury’s Choice Award.

Alfie Allen Takes to Powder

Mark Elliot is set to make his directorial debut with the big screen adaptation of Liam Boyle's rock and roll drug novel Powder. According to The Hollywood Reporter, singer Lily Allen's younger brother Alfie Allen is set to star in this upcoming drama.

The original novel revolved around a small time band that makes it big in the music industry, and thus succumbs to all the evils it has to offer. The project is also set to star newcomers Jefferson Hall, Al Weaver, Jo Woodcock and Vinette Robinson.

Powder will begin filming at London's V Festival starting next week. The film will shoot in Liverpool, London, and Ibiza before wrapping in Spain this October.
