Legendary Entertainment is developing a Pacific Rim prequel TV series in collaboration with Eric Heisserer. The show will extend the Pacific Rim universe, focusing on the prequel story without revealing the plot yet. Although a Pacific Rim 3 movie remains uncertain, the TV series suggests the franchise's storytelling transition towards television.

The Pacific Rim universe is expanding through a new prequel series. Pacific Rim was originally a 2013 film directed by Guillermo del Toro, featuring a leading cast including Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Burn Gorman, Charlie Day, and Max Martini. The plot focuses on a war between humans and massive kaiju sea creatures that begin to take over, and was followed up by the poorly-reviewed film Pacific Rim: Uprising.

As per Variety, a new Pacific Rim TV series is now in development. The TV show will come as a result of a first-look deal between Legendary Entertainment and Eric Heisserer.

Guillermo del Toro is talking about the Pacific Rim sequel and opening up as to why he didn’t end up directing it.

Del Toro directed the 2013 film about sea creatures emerging from the ocean and to defend human life, humans create giant humanoid mechas. The film starred Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Rober Kazinsky, Charlie Day, Max Martini and Ron Perlman.

Although the director was signed up to direct the sequel, he ultimately didn’t due to the sound stages he wanted to shoot at not being available.

Harry Bosch is returning to Amazon Freevee on Oct. 20 – and he’s taking matters into his own hands to save his daughter in a new teaser for “Bosch: Legacy” Season 2.

The drama series’ second season finds Bosch (Titus Welliver) working alongside Honey “Money” Chandler (Mimi Rogers) to track down a masked assailant who kidnapped his daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz) before time runs out. But as the FBI scrutinizes Carl Rogers’ murder, Bosch and Chandler are placed under suspicion.

In the clip, Jerry Edgar (Jamie Hector) tells Bosch that he needs to let authorities do their job to find his daughter, to which he replies: “Don’t cut me out!.” He also makes clear that while the FBI has to do things the “right way,” those rules don’t apply to him.

The Channel boasts everything that we love about the bank heist movie subgenre. Filled with visceral gun fights and shootouts and thrilling police chases, The Channel is a ton of fun. However, although marketed as a bank heist movie, isn't really about the heist.

Known for his explosive, low-budget action movies like One in the Chamber, The Hit List and Saints and Sinners just to name a few, action director William Kaufman recently sat down with MovieWeb to discuss his upcoming highly anticipated action flick The Channel. Joining Kaufman was one of the film's leads, Max Martini, who many may recognize from films like Michael Bay's 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan, and Prime Video's Tender Bar.

Kaufman, despite his budget, has always delivered on the action, and The Channel is no different. However, what sets The Channel aside from Kaufman's previous work is that the film thrives in its characters. Particularly the brotherly relationship between the two main characters in a compelling and complex story of survival. On Monday night, the 2023 Juno Awards, hosted by Simu Liu, are taking place live from Edmonton’s Rogers Place with performances by Jessie Reyez, Tate McRae, Tenille Townes and more, plus an epic performance that will spotlight 50 years of Hip Hop.

From the Opening Night Awards, which took place on Saturday March 11, to the annual big awards ceremony, broadcasted live on TV, artists including The Weeknd, Arkells and more have already taken home some of the night’s biggest awards, and some even broke records.
