Legendary Entertainment is developing a Pacific Rim prequel TV series in collaboration with Eric Heisserer. The show will extend the Pacific Rim universe, focusing on the prequel story without revealing the plot yet. Although a Pacific Rim 3 movie remains uncertain, the TV series suggests the franchise's storytelling transition towards television.

The Pacific Rim universe is expanding through a new prequel series. Pacific Rim was originally a 2013 film directed by Guillermo del Toro, featuring a leading cast including Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Burn Gorman, Charlie Day, and Max Martini. The plot focuses on a war between humans and massive kaiju sea creatures that begin to take over, and was followed up by the poorly-reviewed film Pacific Rim: Uprising.

As per Variety, a new Pacific Rim TV series is now in development. The TV show will come as a result of a first-look deal between Legendary Entertainment and Eric Heisserer.

Harry Bosch is returning to Amazon Freevee on Oct. 20 – and he’s taking matters into his own hands to save his daughter in a new teaser for “Bosch: Legacy” Season 2.

The drama series’ second season finds Bosch (Titus Welliver) working alongside Honey “Money” Chandler (Mimi Rogers) to track down a masked assailant who kidnapped his daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz) before time runs out. But as the FBI scrutinizes Carl Rogers’ murder, Bosch and Chandler are placed under suspicion.

In the clip, Jerry Edgar (Jamie Hector) tells Bosch that he needs to let authorities do their job to find his daughter, to which he replies: “Don’t cut me out!.” He also makes clear that while the FBI has to do things the “right way,” those rules don’t apply to him.

Things are shaping up for Bosch: Legacy Season 2. The Amazon Freevee series – which the streamer has already renewed for season 3 – will return in the fall of 2023. The new episodes will pick up after season 1’s cliffhanger ending, which seemingly saw the screen cutter rapist abduct Maddie Bosch. The show’s three core cast members will be back, as well as a number of supporting characters from Bosch: Legacy Season 1 and Prime Video’s original Bosch series.

On Monday night, the 2023 Juno Awards, hosted by Simu Liu, are taking place live from Edmonton’s Rogers Place with performances by Jessie Reyez, Tate McRae, Tenille Townes and more, plus an epic performance that will spotlight 50 years of Hip Hop.

From the Opening Night Awards, which took place on Saturday March 11, to the annual big awards ceremony, broadcasted live on TV, artists including The Weeknd, Arkells and more have already taken home some of the night’s biggest awards, and some even broke records.

Thanks to TikTok, songs released decades ago can emerge into mainstream popularity with ease, often quite unexpectedly. All it usually takes is a viral trend, or the creation of a sped-up version that draws more attention than the original. From there, it becomes a game of capturing the moment. But The Weeknd, whose 2016 single “Die For You” experienced a sudden resurgence over the last year and a half, is working smarter, not harder.

The Weeknd first bolstered the song’s newfound success with an unreleased music video to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Starboy.

Since her breakthrough at the turn of the century, Pink has carved out a niche as one of pop’s most restless real talkers—songs like “Family Portrait,” “Fuckin’ Perfect,” and “Dear Mr. President” have seemed to bubble out of her experiences and ruminations in real time, and the conviction and vocal power with which she delivers them makes them hit harder.

Pink’s ninth album, Trustfall, is named after the plunges people take when they want to test the devotion of those around them—a fitting metaphor for the Pennsylvania-born superstar on multiple levels.

A fresh face will be joining the Bosch: Legacy cast when the show returns for season 2 on Amazon Freevee. Actor Max Martini will play a new character named Don Ellis.

Martini’s character is a vice cop in the LAPD. Detective Don Ellis is “intelligent and fierce, and not above getting down and dirty with the criminals he polices to get the job done,” according to Deadline, which reported the casting news.

Ellis is a character in author Michael Connelly’s 18th Harry Bosch novel, The Crossing. Bosch: Legacy Season 2 will draw from that book. It follows former LAPD detective Harry Bosch – now working as a Pi – as he teams up to investigate the case of a man who may have been wrongly accused of murder. Bosch’s investigation soon leads right to the heart of the police department.
