Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. producers on why the season finale ignored Avengers: Infinity War

Despite the fact that Marvel Television frequently reminds us that “It’s All Connected”, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. deviated from the script with last week’s season finale opting to ignore the climax of Avengers: Infinity War, which saw Thanos wreaking devastation on the Marvel Cinematic Universe with ‘The Snap’.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producers Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen and Jeffrey Bell have revealed why they opted to go in a different direction

Jed Whedon: There’s some of that we can’t answer.

Jeff Bell: Part of what happened was, they changed the release date, and we move at a different schedule than they do and so suddenly everything was a week earlier, and so we had to make some adjustments and that’s how we end up with our story.

Whedon: Right. And

How Tall Is 'Game of Thrones' Jon Snow? Glad You Asked...

You have to give Game of Thrones' Jon Snow some credit — he's come a long way from being the "bastard" of Winterfell. The former king of the North has fought Night Walkers, defeated the reprehensible Ramsay, and even survived actual death. Not bad for someone who "knows nothing." But although his brooding stares and man bun might make him look super tall and intimidating, Kit Harington's height might surprise you. Watch our video above to see how tall Jon Snow really is. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) Height If you're still a little surprised after learning Jon Snow's height, don't be. His stature was one of the reasons casting directors liked him. "He just had the look," showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss told Esquire. "The brooding intensity; the physical grace; the chip-on-the-shoulder quality that we always associate with extraordinarily short people." That's right, the character Jon Snow isn't tall,

The Writers of Infinity War Reveal When The Infinity Gauntlet Was Forged

For those of you who have been wondering when exactly Eitri the Dwarf King (Peter Dinklage) forged Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers: Infinity War, writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have an answer for you. While talking to Collider they offered the following info:

“I think the Gauntlet was made when Loki was pretending to be Odin. Presumably, Eitri was running a relatively regular business and people would have gone there and said something. So, it hasn’t been that long.”

I'm sure you all remember that was right after Avengers: Age of Ultron. Damn, when Thanos figured out what exactly he wanted to do he just raced into action and pushed it through as fast as he could. Thanos didn't waste any time.

Eitri the Dwarf King made the Gauntlet for Thanos in hopes that he’d spare the lives of the dwarves living on Nidavellir. As we learned in the film,

Emilia Clarke (‘Game of Thrones’) will get Emmy promotion to Best Actress race, say our All-Star Users: Long live the queen?
Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”) has earned three Emmy nominations for Best Drama Supporting Actress for playing crusading queen-in-the-making Daenerys Targaryen. But for season seven, as Dany inches closer to the Iron Throne, Clarke is hoping for an Emmy promotion, entering as a lead actress for the first time. Will she make the cut? Avengers: Infinity War Writers Explain Exactly When Thanos Got The Infinity Gauntlet

We first saw Thanos don his Infinity Gauntlet back in 2015’s Age of Ultron, but it wasn’t until Avengers: Infinity War that its origins were explored. It turned out that the Titan had slaughtered the dwarfs of Nidavellir and ordered their king, Eitri (Peter Dinklage), to make him a weapon that could harness the power of the Infinity Stones.

When Thor, Rocket and Groot arrive at the realm in order to get the God his new hammer, Stormbreaker, the Asgardian’s shocked to discover what Thanos has done to the place. This suggested that the villain had only recently got his gauntlet, which is somewhat confusing given the fact that we saw him with it three years ago. Of course, this led some fans to theorize that perhaps Ultron‘s post-credits scene is actually set later on in the timeline.

That theory has now gained some more credence, as

New HD Action Shots For Avengers: Infinity War Beam Down From Nidavellir

Groot, Thor Odinson, and Sweet Rabbit Rocket Raccoon – the three best friends that anyone could have. They’re also the only ones capable of finding Nidavellir, one of the Nine Realms and home to the Dwarves. Or, at least, it was…before Thanos came to town.

While searching for the Infinity Gauntlet, Marvel’s Mad Titan paid a visit to the far-flung star system and slaughtered every Dwarf except Peter Dinklage’s Eitri, King of Nidavellir and Stormbreaker’s one true creator. The latter turns out to be Thor’s replacement for Mjolnir during the events of Avengers: Infinity War, and thanks to the folks over at Art of VFX (h/t Cbm), we now have a better look at the weapon’s creation, and how it’s forged from the energy of a dying star.

Thor doesn’t do it alone, of course, as he needs Rocket and Groot

Avengers: Infinity War writers reveal why the Netflix heroes didn’t appear

The writers of Avengers: Infinity War have revealed the reason why the Netflix McU heroes didn’t appear in the film.

Infinity War was billed as the biggest team-up event in the franchise’s history and it certainly delivered. However, there were notable absentees from the roster of heroes present, including Netflix’s Defenders.

Explaining their decision not to include the likes of Daredevil or Jessica Jones, writers of Infinity War, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, have said that they didn’t want to bring them in just for the sake of it during Infinity War’s New York set scenes.

“We talk about that all the time,” McFeely told Collider. “I don’t know anything about animosity [between Marvel Studios and Marvel Television]. In a movie this big, we certainly had the conversation, ‘Should we put Luke Cage in this? Here we are in New York.’ That kind of stuff.

First synopsis for Marvel’s Avengers 4 teases sacrifice

As the dust begins to settle on Avengers: Infinity War (and half of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes…), speculation as to the plot of Avengers 4 is running wild, with theories ranging from time-travel to alternate realities.

While Marvel Studios is keeping things very close to its chest, so much so that we don’t even know the title for the next movie, we do now have a brief synopsis from the latest issue of License Global, which teases the sacrifices that are going to have to be made in order to defeat Thanos and presumably undo the damage he caused at the climax of Infinity War:

“A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.

Avengers: Infinity War writers don’t like blaming Star-Lord for what happened

The writers of Avengers: Infinity War have spoken about who is to blame for what transpired in the movie.

Over the course of Infinity War, Thanos manages to collect the Stones and is ultimately able to enact his grim vision for the universe, wiping out half the population.

Our heroes do have some chances to stop Thanos, however, and many fans are blaming Star-Lord for attacking the Titan when Iron Man and Spider-Man nearly removed the gauntlet from him.

Writers of the film, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, don’t agree with this accusation, however, and say that it’s unfair to blame one person or that anything could ultimately have been done to stop Thanos.

“I do love this debate I’ve seen online of ‘It’s Star-Lord’s fault! It’s Doctor Strange’s fault! It’s Thor’s fault!'” McFeely told Collider. “Everyone has a part to play in their failure.

Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War passes $1.8 billion to become fourth biggest movie of all time

It may have been knocked from the top of the box office by fellow superhero sequel Deadpool 2, but Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War has continued its hugely impressive run by passing the $1.8 billion mark worldwide.

Domestically, Infinity War grossed $28.7 million on its fourth weekend to take its North American gross to $595 million, while it also added a further $84.4 million internationally. The latter includes $53.7 million in China, where the film has now amassed $302 million, becoming only the second movie to surpass $300 million in two different markets after Furious 7.

Globally, Infinity War is now the fourth biggest movie of all time behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.07 billion), Titanic ($2.1 billion) and Avatar ($2.8 billion). $2 billion remains likely for the Marvel blockbuster, but with Solo: A Star Wars Story incoming this week, it remains to be seen whether the superhero epic can surpass The Force Awakens and Titanic.

Rumour: Avengers 4 to see the return of long-dead Marvel character?

It seems safe to assume that next year’s Avengers 4 will see the return of many dead Marvel characters as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes somehow reverse their shattering defeat at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, which concluded with the Mad Titan wiping out half of all life in the universe.

Well, if rumours are to be believed, it may not just be those who fell at the snap of Thanos’ fingers who we see resurrected as MovieWeb is reporting that Aaron Taylor-Johnson was spotted on the set of Avengers 4, prompting speculation that his Avengers: Age of Ultron character Quicksilver is set for a return.

Quicksilver as you’ll recall was killed as the Avengers battled Ultron in the 2015 sequel, but there are a number of possible ways he could feature in Avengers 4 without being resurrected, be it through a flashback, a vision, Tony Stark’s B.A.
