Hln Planning ‘Evening Express’ Replacement With New Pilot?

CNN isn’t the only place Jeff Zucker is looking to make changes, it seems. Sister network Hln could be getting at least one new show from the new regime, I’ve learned. Coming off a ratings and viewership surge from the Jodi Arias trial, the network is looking to hold on to some of those numbers with a possible replacement for its 5-7 Pm show Evening Express. Last week, Hln shot a newsmagazine pilot in Atlanta going by the working title of Exp 2.0. Weekend Express’ Natasha Curry, Atlanta traffic reporter Elle Duncan, and Carlos Diaz, the sports anchor on the network’s Morning Express With Robin Meade, hosted. Frequent CNN and Hln contributor Jawn Murray as well as Atlanta talk-show host Kim Gravel also were tapped for on-air roles on the pilot. Other elements were shot earlier in the month, sources say. Angela Massie, current executive producer of Evening Express,

CNN’s Don Lemon And Carlos Diaz Can’t Stop Laughing At Unitarded Basketball Fans

I don't know about you, but since most of us have just lost $656 million, I could use a laugh. CNN's Don Lemon, also a lottery loser, got one from Hln Sports' Carlos Diaz, who decided to do a stand-up, from the March Madness tournament in New Orleans, in front of a backdrop of unitarded, Snoopy-dancing college basketball fans. Diaz tried to push through the segment, but even when he managed to stop laughing, Lemon could not.

We’re loving her look!

Jewel — who’s expecting a boy in early July — walked the Grammy Awards carpet in a yellow Pamela Rowland dress, husband Ty Murray by her side on Sunday night in Los Angeles, Calif.

“Being five months pregnant I wanted to do something simple and not too busy, so people know you’re pregnant and not just heavy,” the singer, 36, laughed to People.

“I’m low maintenance. I don’t want to see a whole row of dresses — I just want one right one. It was sort of Grecian, simple and this is one of my favorite colors,

Joey Lawrence Says Parenting is Exhausting

Carlos Diaz/Inf There’s no denying that some celebrity dads set a better example than others, and for Joey Lawrence, the dads worth emulating are the dads we hear little about. “I know with my family, we keep our private life private,” the 33-year-old Dancing With the Stars alum tells Spotlight to Nightlight. “Being a public figure, people have a right to know about your public life but [with your] private life I feel there’s kind of a sanctity. You need to keep quiet.”

Still, Joey couldn’t help but dish on the trauma he had just endured with daughter Charleston ‘Charli’ Lawrence, 3. “We had a fit this morning,” he shares. “She wanted Mike and Ikes…She found ‘em and she wanted ‘em.” As Charli repeatedly asked for “a treat,” Joey held his ground. “I said, ‘You’ve got to eat your breakfast’…I said, ‘This is your magic moo yogurt,

Pauly Shore On-Set Rant Meltdown on CNN, TMZ and CBC

The Pauly Shore freakout clip MovieSet correspondent captured on-set of ‘Brand Dead‘ is making it’s way around the Internets.

In fact, on CNN the ‘Pauly Shore Meltdown‘ was squeezed in between discussion about Paula Abdul’s contract with American Idol and talking about whatever it is that Jon Gosselin does.

Embedded video from CNN Video

But the clip is not without controversy. While some are saying “enough to the celeb freak outs already”, others are not so sure of the realness of Shore’s antics.

A CNN commentator says, “I’ve seen Civil War reenactments which were less staged than this” in “Paula, Pauly and Jon! 7:14 Carlos Diaz and his panel discuss the latest on Paula Abdul’s future, Pauly Shore’s recent tirade and Jon Gosselin.”

question of the day: Should Universal reedit ‘Bruno’ to remove the Latoya Jackson/Michael Jackson bit?

I was away from the TV for most of the day yesterday, between work stuff and a screening in the evening and dinner out afterward and a long subway ride home, so I managed to miss the TV news hysteria over Michael Jackson’s death. Now, though, I’m watching last night’s Keith Olbermann on my DVR, and he spoke to Carlos Diaz, a “correspondent” for the entertainment show Extra, who suggested that perhaps Universal should consider editing a particular scene in its upcoming movie Bruno. Of course, hardly anyone has seen Bruno yet -- I saw it earlier this week, and Diaz said he had seen the night before -- which makes it hard to talk about in any meaningful way without spoiling it for you all. But the gist of it is this: Bruno, who is trying to become famous in America, is in Los Angeles filming
