Sunnydale High School Reunion! Buffy the Vampire Slayer Cast Gets Together for Show’s 20th Anniversary

Sunnydale High School Reunion! Buffy the Vampire Slayer Cast Gets Together for Show’s 20th Anniversary
High school is a nightmare for many, but Buffy Summers had to battle evil forces and pass her midterms.

Twenty years after Buffy the Vampire Slayer hit the small screen, Entertainment Weekly rounded up the Scooby Gang for an all-star reunion. Although the cast members have graduated into new phases of life (there was some showing off photos of children and swapping of recipes at the gathering), star Sarah Michelle Gellar argues that high school was, indeed, hell.

“It’s the ultimate metaphor: horrors of adolescence manifesting through these actual monsters,” she shared. “It’s the hardest time of life.

‘I Love Bekka & Lucy’ Review: Piquant Web Series Presents a Relationship Choice Worth Considering — SXSW 2017

The idea of finding happiness in platonic friendship rather than romantic love isn’t exactly a new concept. But what makes “I Love Bekka & Lucy” feel fresh (and addictively fun) is that no matter how deeply series’ writer and director Rachael Holder deconstructs the argument, love never leaves the equation. You feel it in every scene, in complex, ever-evolving shades, and thus we learn along with Bekka and Lucy whether or not the proposed lifestyle would or wouldn’t work — for them and for the rest of us.

Everyone, at some point in their life, dreams of living the rest of their days with their best friend, free from the drama, frustrations, and various other forms of emotional turmoil associated with falling in love. Sometimes there’s even times when these desires coincide, and for a few precious months or years, domestic life is nothing but a comfort.

SXSW Selection ‘I Love Bekka and Lucy’ Celebrates Female Friendship — Watch Exclusive Clip
Having found success with her 2012 web series “I Love Lucy & Bekka,” playwright Rachael Holder is returning with a full-scale short form series, “I Love Bekka and Lucy,” premiering worldwide at SXSW this year as part of the Episodic line-up. Produced by Stage 13 through Warner Brothers, “I Love Bekka and Lucy” emphasizes the same ideas of friendship from the previous series, but with more time available to flesh out these two inseparable best friends.

Jessica Parker Kennedy and Tanisha Long star as Bekka and Lucy, respectively. The two bounce off each other in ways that aren’t always so seamless, as Bekka’s cynicism plays against Lucy’s dreamier personality. Despite their differences, their deep friendship grounds them. Rounding out the rest of the cast in Holder’s world is Alexis Denisof (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel” fame), as well as Chris Smith.

This represents the fourth year that SXSW has recognized television, and in 2017 the Episodic category has increased from five to six picks: Besides the previously announced “American Gods,” adapted by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green from Neil Gaiman’s book, SXSW will screen Justin Simien’s “Dear White People,” the Netflix series based on Simien’s 2014 feature film. Showtime’s “I’m Dying Up Here” (executive produced by Jim Carrey), TV Land’s “Nobodies” (executive produced by Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone) and AMC’s “The Son” (starring Pierce Brosnan) will also make their premieres in Austin.

We pick from over 200 episodes of CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother to select the 10 funniest...

When How I Met Your Mother came to a final close almost two years ago, it’s fair to say opinion was divided on the ultimate resolution to Ted Mosby’s nine year, epic romance. Some viewers felt a tad cheated that creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas pulled what was seen as a ‘cop out’ ending. Personally, I didn’t hate the final episode but that doesn't mean it's going to be on this list either.

How I Met Your Mother amassed a total of 208 episodes and this list is devoted to its 10 finest transmissions. Like any show that runs for so long, there were the expected dips in quality over How I Met Your Mother's life span. When whittling down choices, not a single episode of the

Have Jurassic Dinosaurs Truly Kicked Marvel Superheroes Butt at Worldwide Box Office?

'Jurassic World' velociraptor kicks Iron Man ass at worldwide box office. 'Jurassic World' officially surpasses 'The Avengers' at worldwide box office Directed by Colin Trevorrow; starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Vincent D'Onofrio; and co-executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, Jurassic World has officially become the third biggest worldwide box office hit in history. The Jurassic Park sequel – or reboot, as it's basically the same story with a slightly different twist – has surpassed Marvel's Joss Whedon-directed all-star superhero flick The Avengers, which broke box office records back in 2012. Of course, "officially" just ain't what it used to be – like, in the days before The Fall. So you wisely ask, "But which movie has actually sold the most tickets?" After all, that's the true measure of a film's popularity. Well, that's a tough one to answer without the studios providing accurate, precise numbers. And that's not about to happen. It always

Rudd Ant Hero Has Worst Marvel Cinematic Universe Domestic Debut to Date

'Ant-Man': Paul Rudd as Scott Lang. 'Ant-Man' box office below expectations: Lowest Marvel Cinematic Universe domestic debut Starring Paul Rudd as a bug-like (sizewise) action hero, Ant-Man was expected to open with $60-$65 million from 3,856 U.S. and Canada locations this past weekend, July 17-19, '15. That didn't happen. A mere three days ago, Variety enthused that Ant-Man was "marching to a solid $65 million weekend at the U.S. box office." But instead of a $65 million domestic debut like those of Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger, Ant-Man bowed with a considerably more modest $57.22 million (down from the studio's $58.04 million Sunday estimate), including Thursday evening screenings. This latest Marvel Cinematic Universe entry averaged a highly disappointing – especially for an McU entry with loads of steeper-priced 3D and IMAX / Pfl screenings – $14,841 per location. But really, why "highly disappointing"? Trailing 'The Incredible Hulk' Even taking into account the fact

Finding Carter: Season Two Ratings

In its first season, Finding Carter did pretty well in the ratings for MTV. Will the numbers rise or fall in season two? Cancelled or renewed for season three? We'll have to wait and see.

On Finding Carter, a teenager (Kathryn Prescott) discovers that her beloved single mom actually abducted her as an infant and she's reunited with her birth family. The cast also includes Cynthia Watros, Anna Jacoby-Heron, Alexis Denisof, Zac Pullam, and Alex Saxon.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show's chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.Read More…

Buffy and Willow Back Together! Sarah Michelle Gellar Reunites with Former Co-star Alyson Hannigan
Sarah Michelle Gellar may be the slayer, but it's apparently Alyson Hannigan that throws killer parties.

The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer castmates were reunited on Saturday in Santa Monica for what presumably was the third birthday party for Hannigan's daughter, Keeva.

"So this girl (#AlysonHannigan) and her husband (#AlexisDenisof) know how to throw a party," Gellar, 38, wrote on Instagram. The actress shared a smiling selfie of the pair, with Hannigan, 41, wearing overalls and Gellar clad in a denim jacket.

"I thought I was good with the crafts, till I went to this party #CraftMaster," she continued. "Thanks for having
