Let's face it. Horror is an easy genre to create a film for. We did it when I was in high school on a no-string budget and the film (although gawd awful) was still entertaining and you know what, it's probably better than some of the dollar bin dreck out there to this day...
So you take the ease of film making and add that to the fact that people love zombies and whamo, you have the world shooting zombie movies. So for every thousand zombie movies you see only a rare few are true gems. Thus is the case with director Matthew Kohnen's latest horror comedy aptly named, "Aaah! Zombies!!" (two exclamation points).
Starring Matthew Davis, Michael Grant Terry, Colby French, Betsy Beutler, Julianna Robinson, and Joel McCrary, "Aaah! Zombies!!" separates itself from the fray by telling the story from the zombies point of view. Feast on the trailer and poster below.

A new Encino-based indie plans to acquire and distribute a dozen home entertainment titles during the next 12 months.
Level 33 Entertainment plans to offer "great profits to filmmakers and film investors than typically realized by traditional distribution arrangements for independent motion pictures," the company said Thursday.
"We see a tremendous opportunity in the entertainment-distribution marketplace to supply original content across all home and digital platforms," said Level 33 executive vp Sheldon Brigman, formerly of Ventura Distribution and Spy Filmz.
Key to its marketing will be creating "fan communities," the indie said.
The company has acquired the horror pic "Aaah! Zombies!!," starring Matthew Davis (the CW's "The Vamprie Diaries"), and the crime thriller "Blues," starring Sydney Tamiia Poitier ("Death Proof"), for home entertainment release in August and September, respectively.
"Level 33 is committed to creating awareness for the films we distribute by engaging with existing and potential fans in unique and compelling ways,...

Aaah! Zombies! is a Level 33 Entertainment production that rightfully blends horror with zombie and a little romance. The film will release September 28th and this trailer shows a group of friends turning into "super soldiers" by way of a toxic spill. The laughs unfold as four friends become very strange by accident while seeing life through rose coloured lenses. Plus, have a watch as two zombie characters make out, grotesquely, in this award winning feature (Screamfest Audience Award Winner).

Elena’s biological mother, Isobel, will blow back into town next Thursday, April 29th and again on an “explosive ep” on May 6th on the CW’s “Vampire Diaries” in an episode aptly titled “Isobel”. So far, we know that Isobel, played by Mia Kirshner, had Elena (Nina Dobrev) when she was young and before she married Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) and before she was turned by Damon (Ian Somerhalder).
Boy, I don’t think anyone will be prepared for Isobel to impact Mystic Falls. What can Alaric say to her after all this time thinking that she was dead and finding out that their life together was too normal for her? Why would Isobel want an audience with the daughter that she had made specific preparations to discourage Elena from seeking her out? From the looks of this not yet released promo poster, Isobel and Elena won’t have a happy sunshine reunion.

Even though you know it’s not their doing, it’s easy to get a little angry with shows when they’re not on for a month. But watching this episode of Vampire Diaries reminded me of that scene from Pretty Woman. Vivian: You're late. Edward: You're stunning. Vivian: You're forgiven. And not just because we got to see that Ian Somerhalder is now cut like an opposable Ken doll. So, we began by watching a hiker get drained and stripped by Harper, the vampire that escaped from the tomb at the end of the last original episode. It was one of the weaker openings,...

I suppose this isn't a surprising statement, but I love it when shows actually give you some answers. And this episode was like Jeopardy!. So we picked up with Damon swooping in to save Elena from the mysterious/freaky figure she'd hit with her car after fleeing Stefan's house in a post-coital rage when she found a picture of Katherine and realized that she resembles her. I was sorta hoping we'd have found out that Damon had licked her head wound or something when she woke up on their drive to Georgia, but it was more of a scratch than a gash,...

Due to the fact that I've got a headache more massive than Damon's ego, I'm going to try to keep this recap as brief as Stefan and Elena's reconciliation. The Brothers Salvatore stay in town: Though Damon and Stefan intended on leaving Mystic Falls — "But we're a team. We could travel the world together. We could try out for The Amazing Race," Damon said — that all changed when the sheriff showed up to report another vampire attack. It was Logan, who wanted Damon to track him so he could subdue him with wooden bullets and find out how the brothers...

Matthew Davis arrived on the Atlanta set of The Vampire Diaries just two days after getting the gig, leaving him no time to read the books; so playing Alaric Saltzman, an enigmatic new teacher, wasn't that tough. Right off the bat, Alaric takes a shine to both Jeremy and his aunt, but it will be a while before his true passion is revealed. (Hint: Alaric has something in common with Buffy.) Davis tells TVGuide.com what Alaric is researching in Mystic Falls, when he'll interact with Stefan and Damon and why he hopes never to be called to the special-effects office.
