Take a Look at a New Image of David Harbour’s (Extremely Ripped) ‘Hellboy’ (Photo)
We still have a few months to go before the “Hellboy” reboot starring David Harbour hits theaters. But if you simply can’t wait, scroll down to check out a new photo from the upcoming film, courtesy of Empire Magazine.

The pic, from Empire’s January 2019 issue, features Harbour-as-Hellboy running through a dimly lit hallway — and that’s it. It may not sound like much, but it looks cool, particularly the detail on Hellboy’s “Right Hand of Doom.” Also, the new Hellboy is ripped.

New Hellboy Image Arrives, Director Promises a Bloody and Violent Reboot

New Hellboy Image Arrives, Director Promises a Bloody and Violent Reboot
We have a brand new look at next year's Hellboy reboot. There are a great many people out there who will always be upset that this isn't Guillermo del Toro's long-discussed but never made Hellboy 3. Instead, we're getting a reboot from Lionsgate and director Neil Marshall (The Descent). Now, we have a new image that showcases David Harbour (Stranger Things) as the titular character in what will be an R-rated, gory take on the comic book series.

The image features an absolutely jacked Hellboy charging down a hallway. He doesn't look that dissimilar to the Ron Perlman version, as both appear to be quite faithful to what creator Mike Mignola has presented us within the pages of his comics for more than 20 years. David Harbour's version does seem to have a certain grit to him, though. The image doesn't give us much else to chew on, but director Neil

New Hellboy Reboot Image Features David Harbour as Hellboy

  • DailyDead
While Hellboy fans are accustomed to seeing Ron Perlman play the titular character, David Harbour will don the sawed-off horns in the upcoming reboot directed by Neil Marshall. Ahead of the movie's expected release on April 12th, 2019, a new image from the film has been unveiled by Empire that gives fans a close look at Harbour's take on the iconic character.

Marshall is directing the new Hellboy movie from a screenplay co-written by Christopher Golden, Andrew Cosby, and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. Larry Gordon, Lloyd Levin, and Dark Horse Entertainment's Mike Richardson are producing the project.

In addition to Harbour in the title role, the new Hellboy movie will co-star Milla Jovovich as villainous sorceress known as the Blood Queen, with Ian McShane in the role of Professor Broom and Daniel Dae Kim playing Ben Daimio.

The new film is completely separate from 2004's Hellboy and 2008's Hellboy II: The Golden Army,

Meanwhile, speaking the outlet, director Neil Marshall has explained how he has tried to differentiate the new movie from the two previous Guillermo del Toro-helmed outings:

“It was always a case of, ‘When in doubt, go back to the source material.’ Some of the stuff is pretty sick. More violent and more bloody. We weren’t making it with handcuffs on.”

Exciting New Image From Hellboy Featuring David Harbour in the Title Role

Thanks to Empire we have a new photo to share with you from Hellboy featuring David Harbour in the title role.

There’s no doubt that Harbour looks great as Hellboy! The big question is, will the film actually turn out to be good? Does it have a good script that will tell a good story? The first test screening for the film didn’t seem to go over very well, and the film had to go through some reshoots.

I hope the movie does turn out well! I like what the cast and crew have said about how they were handling it over the past few months. Director Neil Marshall talked to Empire about steering the film adaptation of Mike Mignola’s comic book back to more R-rated horror filled territory saying:

“It was always a case of, ‘When in doubt, go back to the source material.’ Some of the stuff is pretty sick.

Thomas Haden Church reportedly playing Lobster Johnson in Hellboy

Having portrayed the character of Flint Marko / Sandman in 2007’s Spider-Man 3, actor Thomas Haden Church revealed earlier this year that he’d shot a secret role in a comic book movie, and if a report from Discussing Film is accurate, it seems that secret has now been revealed.

According to the site, the film in question is the upcoming Hellboy reboot from Lionsgate, with Church reportedly playing the classic fan favourite Hellboy character Lobster Johnson.

Created by Mike Mignola, Lobster Johnson was a vigilante from the 1930s who operated in secret, and had a reputation for brutality and violence, often killing mobsters and burning his trademark lobster claw symbol into their foreheads. He was killed during a mission against the Nazis in 1939, but returns even more powerful as a ghost, working with Hellboy and the Bprd on a number of missions.

During the New York Comic Con last month,

Thomas Haden Church Reportedly Plays Lobster Johnson in The Hellboy Reboot

Spider-Man 3 and Sideways star Thomas Haden Church was reportedly cast is director Neil Marshall’s Hellboy reboot. According to Discussing Film, Church will take on the pulp era vigilante Lobster Johnson.

Apparently Haden Church previously teased the role earlier this year during an interview with JoBlo. Church was asked if he would ever return to the superhero movie genre after playing Sandman in Spider-Man 3 and this was his response:

“I’m not supposed to talk about it, but I actually have returned, but not in the Marvel world, it’s another world, but it is in that genre of superheroes and supervillains. I’m not supposed to talk about it, it’s a movie I shot last year. They’re trying to keep it-and good luck to ‘em-with, y’know, today man, I’m surprised it hasn’t already kinda been revealed.”

In case you’re not familiar with Lobster Johnson,

Apparently The Upcoming Hellboy Reboot Has a Poor First Test Screening

I’ve actually been pretty excited about seeing director Neil Marshall’s Hellboy reboot with David Harbour in the role of the hellish hero. I like everything that I’ve seen and heard about it so far, but apparently the first test screening for the film didn’t go too well.

The first reactions are being reported on and it’s not promising. The news comes from DanielRPK who heard from some audience members that were in attendance at the test screening for the film. He says that the reactions have been “pretty bad.”

His report was then backed up by another reporter named Sylar Shuler, who said:

First Reactions To Hellboy Say It’s Pretty Bad, Story And Villain Are Lacking

It’s fair to say when it was first revealed that the Hellboy franchise was going to be rebooted and director Guillermo del Toro and star Ron Perlman wouldn’t get the chance to make a third film and complete their trilogy, fans of the Dark Horse comics character were pretty angry. The more we’ve learned about the project though, the more people’s opinions of it have begun to change and after Lionsgate showed off what was apparently a very impressive trailer at New York Comic Con, everything seemed to be on the right track.

Judging by the online reactions to it, everyone was pretty pleased with what they laid eyes on last month, and though the studio still hasn’t made it available online just yet, it seems that they’ve already begun test screening the film. However, unlike reactions to the trailer at Nycc, the response hasn’t been great,

First Trailer For Hellboy Reboot Leaks Online

It’s fair to say when it was first announced that the Hellboy franchise was to be rebooted and director Guillermo del Toro and star Ron Perlman wouldn’t get to bring us a third movie, fans of the Dark Horse comics character were pretty upset. The more we’ve learned about the project though, the more people’s opinions of it have turned around and now, anticipation is sky high. Especially after that first trailer was shown off.

Yes, as you no doubt heard, those at New York Comic Con got the chance to see some footage from Hellboy and judging by the online reactions, everyone was pretty pleased with what they laid eyes on. Detailed Description of the Hellboy Reboot Footage That Screened at Nycc

Over the weekend, the very first footage from the upcoming Hellboy reboot was screened at Nycc. Cast members David Harbour (Hellboy), Sasha Lane (Alice Monaghan) and Daniel Dae Kim (Ben Daimio) as well as creator Mike Mignola were all in attendance and while they were there they shared a trailer for the film. We won’t see this trailer online for awhile but thanks to ComingSoon we have a detailed description of that trailer to share with you in case you’re curious:

“They warned us that something was coming…” says a female voice.

The 2-minute Hellboy trailer opens with a shot of a London apartment building, then cuts to a huge cavernous fantasyscape, rocky with a big lake. Two tiny figures walk on one of the rocky surfaces.

David Harbour Says He’ll Officiate a Wedding as Hellboy – for a Devilish Number of Retweets
David Harbour said he would officiate a wedding in full Hellboy get-up for a devilish number of retweets — 666,000, to be exact.

On Sept. 25, the actor asked his fans to devise a retweet challenge for him to close out 2018. In response, a fan asked how many retweets he would need for Harbour to officiate his March wedding in full Hellboy gear.

“666k Of this tweet. Big Red officiates. Full Gear. In his saintly best,” Harbour responded. “Impossible number? Think of how difficult it will be for me to get this character ordained by a Christian church (P.S. – I’ll knock off 500k if you can get @artofmmignola to read a poem at the service),” he said, tagging Mike Mignola, comic artist and creator of the Hellboy universe.

Hellboy footage description and New York Comic Con video interviews

Yesterday at the New York Comic Con, Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and stars David Harbour, Sasha Lane and Daniel Dae Kim were on hand to show off a first-look teaser trailer for the upcoming reboot. Unfortunately, said trailer is “panel exclusive” and isn’t being released online (for the time being anyway). However, thanks to IGN, we’ve got a description of the two minutes of footage that was shown…

“It starts with Hellboy about to head into a crime scene when a Swat officer shoots at him accidentally, with Hellboy yelling, ‘I’m on your side!’ From there there’s a lot of quick flashes of dialogue and action. Ian McShane, who plays Hellboy’s adopted father Bruttenholm, gives him his gun ‘the Good Samaritan.’Daniel Dae Kim’s character Ben Daimio and Sasha Lane’s Alice Monaghan, who play Hellboy’s teammates, are seen entering a “secret headquarters” in London,
