Always a Jon Snow, Kit Harington Knew Nothing About ‘Game of Thrones’ Final Season Until Table Read
When the scripts for the eighth and final season of “Game of Thrones” were finally sent to the cast, they reacted to the epic ending in different ways.

And Kit Harington’s response was apparently to avoid reading it completely and to quite literally know nothing until he came to the table read with the rest of the “GoT” crew in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

“I walked in saying, ‘Don’t tell me, I don’t want to know,'” Harington told Entertainment Weekly in a story published Thursday. “What’s the point of reading it to myself in my own head when I can listen to people do it and find out with my friends?”

2018 Gold Derby TV Awards winners: ‘Versace’ and ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ are top winners, but ‘Game of Thrones’ takes Best Drama
The 15th Annual Gold Derby TV Award winners were announced on Thursday, September 6, during a live webcast announcement (watch it above). These prizes were decided by hundreds of Gold Derby users who arguably know more about the television landscape than a lot of TV academy members. And they spread the wealth when picking this year’s recipients. “The Assassination of Gianni Versace” was the biggest winner with four awards, followed by “The Handmaid’s Tale” with three, but the top series prizes actually went to “Game of Thrones” and “Atlanta.”

“Versace” swept the longform categories, claiming Best Limited Series, Best Movie/Mini Actor (Darren Criss), Best Movie/Mini Supporting Actress (Judith Light) and Best Movie/Mini Supporting Actor (Cody Fern). The last two prizes in that field went to “USS Callister (Black Mirror)” (Best TV Movie) and “The Tale” (Best Movie/Mini Actress for Laura Dern).

Leaked Game Of Thrones Set Pics Allude To Possible Season 8 Clues

Winter is coming for King’s Landing, as are many of Westeros’ most famous faces.

As Game of Thrones season 8 marches on, social media is teeming with leaked photos and alleged story clues. Remember, the Internet is dark and full of spoilers, and sure enough, just yesterday we caught wind of a major showdown involving most, if not all of the show’s key players.

It’s one that purportedly unfolds in the Dragonpit, which will likely be draped in snow come 2019, given how the Night King and his army are closing in on the Seven Kingdoms. His target? King’s Landing, we imagine, considering it’s the nexus of power within Westeros.

And at least based on this new set pic uncovered by Winter is Coming, most of the ensemble cast will be there to witness death incarnate. Featuring the likes of Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya

Game Of Thrones Said To Be Uniting All Main Characters For One Final Showdown

“There’s only one war that matters…and it is here.”

If one was to compare HBO’s Game of Thrones to a chessboard – a sprawling chessboard littered with dead bodies, mind you – then it seems most of the show’s power players are now packed into a corner as we approach the eighth and final season.

And with filming well underway, fansite Watchers on the Wall has uncovered new intel that appears to suggest next year’s series finale will herald a major, potentially Earth-shaking showdown in the Dragonpit of King’s Landing. Seville typically doubles as a real-life location for the Colosseum-like arena, and sure enough, a number of cast members have been spotted in the Spanish city along with their respective stunt doubles, which tells us that showrunners David Benioff and D.B Weiss are cooking up something big.

In fact, those sources close to Wotw claim

SAG Awards predictions head-scratcher: Can ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ win drama without having the biggest cast?

SAG Awards predictions head-scratcher: Can ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ win drama without having the biggest cast?
When it comes to the SAG Awards, size often matters. The most massive casts often run off with the ensemble prizes, which explains how “Lost” found victory at the 2005 ceremony, and how “Downton Abbey” (2012) was able to take down two-time champ “Boardwalk Empire” (2010-2011). This year, however, Gold Derby’s SAG TV predictions favor Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” to prevail despite having the second-smallest cast. Are we crazy for going against bigger ensembles?

“The Handmaid’s Tale” boasts 10 cast members on the voting ballot, ahead of only Netflix’s “The Crown” at five. Comparatively, the other nominated dramas each feature more than a dozen actors: HBO’s “Game of Thrones” at 30, Netflix’s “Stranger Things” at 17 and NBC’s “This Is Us” at 13. In recent years “Game of Thrones” and “Downton Abbey” always had the biggest casts, with “Downton” beating the HBO fantasy series in 2014 and 2015.
