Colin Crompton was born on June 22, 1931 in Manchester, England as George Colin Crompton. He was an actor, known for The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club (1974), Confessions of a Summer Camp Councillor (1977) and Second City Firsts (1973). He died on August 24, 1985 in Manchester.

Early in his career, he was the audience warm-up man for Val Parnell's Sunday Night at the London Palladium (1955).
