David Craig is a multiple Emmy-nominated Producer and Partner in Media
Nation, a content provider developing feature films, scripted and
unscripted television series and movies, graphic novels and new media.
In addition, Craig is a Professor at the USC Annenberg School for
Communication and Journalism where he teaches courses in media industry
studies, including film, television and new media production, media
industry management and issues surrounding media convergence. Prior to
Media Nation, Craig was a programming executive at A&E Television and
Lifetime Television, where he supervised the production of over 30
television movies, mini-series or drama series. This includes
Flight 93 (2006), the highest
rated program in the history of the network, as well as the return of
Sidney Lumet to television with highly acclaimed drama series,
100 Centre Street (2001).
In addition, his programs garnered over 75 Emmy nominations, including
two personal nominations as Supervising Producer for the mini-series
Napoléon (2002) and the television
movie
Ike: Countdown to D-Day (2004).
Prior to A&E, Craig was an executive at Lifetime Television and an
executive for the Haft/Nasatir Company, where he co-produced a number
of television movies and worked on the feature
Hocus Pocus (1993). Craig began his
career working for Dan Melnick's IndieProd Company. In addition to
producing film and television, Craig has worked as an executive in
publishing and produced theatre in Los Angeles and New York. Craig has
been a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the
British Academy of Film and Television since 1999. Craig has his
Masters in Cinema Studies from New York University and his Bachelors in
Radio,TV and Film from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
