George P. Cosmatos was born on 4 January 1941 in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. He was a director and writer, known for Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Leviathan (1989) and Cobra (1986). He was previously married to Birgitta Ljungberg. He died on 19 April 2005 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
