Film and TV director since 1976, Phil Comeau has directed numerous dramas and documentaries. After directing his first award-winning feature drama "Jerome's Secret" in 1994, he went on to direct episodes on popular TV series such as "Lassie, Emily of New Moon, Pit Pony, The New Detectives, Risk Takers, Mayday, Tribu.com & La Sagouine". He has also directed the TV movies "Teen Knight" and "The Crash of the Century".

Phil Comeau's films have won 36 film and television awards at festivals in Europe and in North America.

In 2006, Phil Comeau was awarded the prestigious "Order of Arts and Letters" in France for outstanding contribution to the enrichment of culture and cinema in Canada and in the world. In 2007, he was awarded the 'Ordre des francophones d'Amerique" in Quebec, and in 2011, received the "Order of Canada".
