Game Of Thrones Actor Responds To Bran/Night King Theory

Thanks to the interwebs, television fans can get together with likeminded people from around the world and discuss theories about their favorite shows. Fan theories are all over the place these days, and with the large fandom of Game of Thrones it may be the most theorized show of all. Many of the theories are actually supported by evidence, at least enough to make one consider the possibility, or even likelihood of it being true

One theory in particular that has been gaining steam over the last few months is that Brandon Stark is actually the Night King. The theory runs pretty deep, but a brief summary proposes that Bran’s time traveling escapades which resulted in failed attempts to save Westeros, have left him stuck in the Night King. Lrm’s own Cam Clark went into detail on this theory and you can find the link in the related section below.

The Tick review: a laugh-out-loud superhero satire

Ron Hogan Aug 25, 2017

The Tick, out now on Amazon Prime Video, is huge fun. Here's how the show achieves what its creator envisioned 21 years ago...

In 1994, I was about to be a freshman in high school. Despite being “too old” for cartoons, there wasn’t really anything else on television on Saturday mornings while I was waiting for wrestling to show up on my television screen. I remember most of the cartoons I saw only in the vaguest terms: the creepy face of Louie Anderson’s gargoyle animated child or a screaming purple cat. I know the name of both shows because I looked them up prior to writing this article, but I couldn’t tell you anything about them. However, one show I watched regularly in the mid to late 90s stuck with me well into adulthood, and that’s the 1994-96 animated version of The Tick.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Blu-Ray Review: This Home Release Delivers The Goods

Earlier this year saw the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the 15th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While I didn't review the film myself, I very much agree with our own Cam Clark, who gave it an A-. Thanks to its comedy, as well as its huge heart, it managed to claw its way to my top five McU films. I'd even go so far as to say I found it to be a superior experience to the first film, which is a statement I feel the need to explain.

When the trailer for the first Guardians of the Galaxy hit, I expected the film to really indulge in the weird. While it did sort of touch on it, it was very clear that it was a rather traditional film. Vol. 2 very much continues being a somewhat traditional film, but rather than play it safe, Marvel Studios

Game of Thrones Season 7, Episode 6 Review: Beyond The Wall

*This Post Contains Spoilers For Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 6 And Game Of Thrones In General*

This current season of Game of Thrones is truly one for the record books, not only for the show itself, but for television and storytelling in general. Benioff and Weiss have really constructed something beautifully brutal over the last several years. What I plan to do is cover the events beyond the wall first and see if I can get to some of the smaller, but not necessarily less important parts of the episode. Just like last week’s review, feel free to bring up anything you enjoyed about the episode in the comments.

The Season 7 episodes continue to get better and better with “Beyond the Wall.” As you might have guessed the episode begins and spends most of its time, beyond the wall with Jon an his crew of Westerosi Expendables. The group

1980s 'Ninja Turtles' Return in Nickelodeon's 'Tmnt' Clip

1980s 'Ninja Turtles' Return in Nickelodeon's 'Tmnt' Clip
The classic 1980s animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back! The four brothers are returning in their original TV incarnation for a very special episode of the current Nickelodeon CGI-animated series titled Trans-Dimensional Turtles. And that's not the only big surprise this exciting crossover has in store.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles seen on Nickelodeon's current series will travel into the 80s Turtles' alternate dimension in order to defeat the Krang from that era. And the original Tmnt crew will be heading to current times to take down Krang Sub-Prime. If that wasn't awesome enough, the Turtles will also be traveling to a third dimension where another crazy surprise awaits.

Yes, we'll also be seeing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as they appeared in Kevin Eastman's Mirage Studios comic book series. If that's not enough to get you excited, then perhaps the first clip from this upcoming animated adventure will do the trick.

Emily S. Whitten: Awesome Con DC 2015

  • Comicmix
So I just got back from Awesome Con DC 2015, and happily, it lived up to its name once again, because it was pretty darned awesome!

It was also kind of interesting to realize that every year I’ve gone has been a different experience, thanks to what I was doing each year. The first year, which was of course also smaller than the current con, I was reporting for ComicMix but did not have any other responsibilities. That meant I had time to see pretty much all of the floor and meet any guests I’d like, plus doing great, longer-form interviews with the talented Phil Lamarr and Billy West. Last year, I was running programming, so I saw a whole lot of back hallways, the exhibit hall whooshing by at a fast clip several times as I hurried around, many great volunteers, and a few guests for just long

'Orange Is the New Black' goes comedy for Emmys; 'Hawaii Five-0' makes Jorge Garcia a regular

  • After submitting as a drama for both this year's Golden Globes and SAG Awards -- and coming up with only one single nomination -- Netflix is submitting "Orange Is the New Black (2013)Orange Is the New Black
[/link]" as a comedy for the 2014 Emmys. Producers and execs were hesitant to make the switch because as Emmys rules stipulate, the show must remain in that genre for the remainder of its run.

- When "Hawaii Five-0" returns for its just-announced fifth season, the CBS procedural will have one more "Lost" alum in its ranks. Jorge Garcia, who's guest-starred twice on the island-set drama, has been promoted to series regular. Garcia plays Jerry Ortega, a conspiracy theorist and former high school classmate of Detective Lt. Chin Ho Kelly, played by his former "Lost" co-star Daniel Dae Kim. [THR]

- Garcia's former "Lost" co-star Maggie Grace is planning her TV comeback, joining CBS' untitled Wall Street drama form "Justified

Lego Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite Blu-Ray Review

Strange things happen when video game producers direct movies. Especially those involving Lego. To explain, it’s not that writer/director Jon Burton didn’t try his darndest to get Lego Batman: The Movie right. Animation is quite good, likewise packs a stellar cast of voice actors from the finest in sci-fi and superhero animation. A literal all star team comprises the men and women behind the blocks, with Laura Bailey, Troy Baker, Brian Bloom, Cam Clarke, Clancy Brown and Rob Paulsen at their usual best. It’s still a bit odd having all of this dialog…about, well, dialog…in that Lego movies and games only recently included actual voices in them. Related, Burton is certainly no slouch himself. His ‘Lego Star Wars: the Video Game’ is everything that’s right with Travellers Tales’ take on the franchise, a clever homage that captures the spirit of the building sets,

Classic Ninja Turtles to crossover in second season of Tmnt - original voice actors returning

Cowabunga dudes!

It's been a rough time for fans of the Heroes in a Half-Shell recently. Michael Bay's reboot was met with tepid reactions and the leaked script featuring "Colonel Schrader" did nothing to help. But good things are happening in the Nickelodeon cartoon Tmnt and executive producer Ciro Nieli has talked about bringing back Baxter Stockman, Mutagen Men and, more importantly, a cross over that will see the classic 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (or Hero Turtles if you're British) cartoon brought into Tmnt continuity.

In an interview with USA Today, Nieli talked about the crossover for season two: "We all have a nostalgia for these characters in all their incarnations, and any time we can serve it up, we take the chance," Nieli says. "The trick is finding a way to do it where it doesn't feel wedged in, where you don't even see it coming."

He adds,
