Lina Chamie

Born in Brazil, Lina lived 14 years in New York, where she graduated in Music and Philosophy from New York University and obtained her Master Degree in Music at the Manhattan School of Music. Chamie wrote and directed the feature films following: "Tonic Dominant" which earned her, among other awards, the Kodak Vision Award - WIF - Los Angeles; and the Prize of Association of Art Critics of São Paulo in 2001; "The Milky Way" (2007), had its world premiere at Cannes in 2007, Official Selection of the "Critic's Week", won the prize "Casa de America" at Cine en Construcción in San Sebastián/Spain, participating in more than 80 festivals around the world, receiving numerous awards and the recognition of national and international critic; "Santos, 100 Years of Playful Soccer", the official film of Santos Futebol Clube's centennial; "São Silvestre" feature-length documentary, released in late 2013 and "Best Friends" (2014), her fifth feature film released in 2014.
