Still of Marian Caparrós in The Waitresses (2013)
Marían was born in the Mediterranean city of Palma in the island of Majorca, but following her dream to study at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles, she went overseas to work. While at this quest, life offered colorful opportunities to travel, work & save, and learn, and Marian worked in different positions and places, such as stewardess in sailing boats in the French Riviera & Sanremo, at Inventions in EuroDisney, Paris, and in a ship around the Caribbean islands before flying to L.A. to fulfill her dream. She studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute with Anthony Caldarella, Marc Marno, Jack Betts, Susan Anspach, Bob Lipton, and Al Corley, among others.

In L.A. Marian enjoyed playing in all acting fields, from short films to independent films, television, and theatre productions, where she had the opportunity to work with, and learn from, many talented actors. Under the direction of Anthony Caldarella, Marian worked with Burt Young, Susan Giosa, Carmen Argenziano, Anne Morea, Michael E. Rodgers, Cosimo Fusco, Warren Sweeney, and Lou Casal, among others, in "A View From The Bridge", a production that landed 8 Drama-Logue Awards. A year later, Caldarella offered her the opportunity to work together again in "Detective Story", where she played with such great actors as Michael McGuire, John Aprea, Asher Brauner, J.J. Johnston, Susan Priver, Josette DiCarlo, Jennifer Rhodes, Nicolas Read, Robert Ruth, Lou Casal, Warren Sweeny, Leonard Kelly Young, Peter Allas, Vincent Guastaferro, Howard Mungo, James DiStefano, Joe Basile, Robert Zachar, Lou Wagner, and Richard Zavaglia among others. This play was nominated for the Best Ensemble Performance Award in the 96'LAWeekly Theater Awards, and won 11 of the 1996 Drama-Logue Awards.

During her time in L.A and after a period of time waitressing, Marian freelanced as audiovisual translator & interpreter, and as entertainment journalist, becoming a member of the MPAA (Motion Picture Academy Association of America) association. Caparrós published in "Downtown magazine", "Blanco y Negro" (ABC, Spain), "El Temps", "Cinemanía" and "Convivir" (newspaper El Observador, Uruguay) and interviewed such amazing actors, producers, and directors as Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon, Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Jean Reno, Danny DeVito, Michael Douglas, Paul Verhoeven, Jerry Bruckheimer, George Clooney, Jennifer Lopez, Jim Carrey, Matt Damon, Sylvester Stallone, Nicolas Cage and Jennifer Aniston, among others.
