It’s a family affair for Sean Penn and his new film Flag Day. This is the first major film role for Dylan Penn, who bears an uncanny resemblance to her father as well as her mother Robin Wright. Her brother, Hopper Penn, has also taken on a role in the film which co-stars Josh Brolin, Norbert Leo Butz, and Dale Dickey.

‘Flag Day’ Trailer Showcases Sean Penn’s On and Off-Screen Family
Sean Penn’s upcoming film “Flag Day” has released its first trailer, featuring Penn and his children, Dylan Frances Penn and Hopper Jack Penn, as the dysfunctional Vogel family.

Sean Penn serves as both star and director for the movie, which is based on Jenifer Vogel’s 2004 memoir recounting her fractured relationship with her father, criminal and con-man John Vogel. The film stays true to the memoir, offering up the troubled relationship between John (Sean Penn), a grandiose deadbeat-narcissist, and Jennifer (Dylan Frances Penn), an aspiring journalist. Katheryn Winnick plays John’s wife, Patty, and Hopper Jack Penn portrays their adrift son, Nick. “Flag Day” marks Dylan Frances Penn’s debut leading role.

The trailer shows that though John has a demented way of parenting — and mess up his relationships again and again — he truly loves his children. So in order to prove to his daughter that she can rely on him,

‘Flag Day’ Cannes Review: Sean Penn Directs And Stars In Powerful True Family Drama That Is Star-Making Showcase For Daughter Dylan Penn
Director Sean Penn returns to the Cannes Film Festival today in the official competition with the first film he has ever directed in which he also stars.

Flag Day actually is a solid and worthwhile effort for him both as actor and director. But first and foremost, it will be remembered as a dazzling showcase for the acting talents of his daughter, Dylan Penn, who takes on the key role in a real-life story based on Jennifer Vogel’s memoir, Flim-Flam Man: The True Story of My Father’s Counterfeit Life.

Dylan plays Jennifer (she shares the role with Addison Tymec at age 6 and Jadyn Rylee at ages 11-13) as the film becomes a story of a unique bond between a daughter and a messed-up but charismatic father, who spent years in prison for a bank robbery, was a grand schemer and dreamer, and who became the most notorious counterfeiter in US history,

Debris Canceled at NBC

Debris Canceled at NBC
Three days after the Debris Season 1 finale, NBC has decided not to move forward with another season.

The Joel Wyman created sci-fi series starring Jonathan Tucker, and Riann Steele started with a lot of promise.

Tucker and Steele starred as two agents from rival countries tasked with working together to determine the origin of mysterious alien debris falling to earth.

Tucker's Bryan was an ex-combat soldier who served in Afghanistan, and Steele's Finola was an MI6 agent serving the UK.

Early on, Bryan and Finola seemed like opposites. Bryan was pragmatic, and Finola was interested in the implications of the debris for its usefulness to humanity.

As the two characters worked together, they soon met in the middle, forming a tight bond that placed them in the middle, fighting against management and a group called Influx.

As each new element of the story was added, there were fewer answers, which
