He was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2021 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to Theatre, Comedy and the Arts. He was the Founder and Director of the Assembly Festival, and lately Artistic Director of the Riverside Studios in London, Greater London, England.
