‘NCIS: New Orleans’ Casts Reggie Lee; Samantha Sloyan Joins ‘Seal Team’
Grimm alum Reggie Lee has booked a major recurring role opposite Scott Bakula on the upcoming fifth season of CBSNCIS: New Orleans. Lee will play Assistant Special Agent in Charge Steven Thompson. Thompson will often butt heads with Pride (Bakula) as each have a very different process to approaching and prioritizing their workload. Created by Gary Glasberg, the NCIS spinoff centers around the local field office of NCIS that investigates criminal cases involving military personnel in The Big Easy. Lee, who was a series regular on NBC’s Grimm, will soon be seen in Randall Batinkoff’s Inside Game opposite Lindsey Morgan. Lee is represented by Greene & Associates Talent Agency and Link Entertainment.

‘Seal Team’ Ups Judd Lormand to Series Regular for Season 2
Judd Lormand has been promoted to series regular for the second season of “Seal Team” at CBS.

Lormand plays Lieutenant Commander Eric Blackburn, the Seal Team troop commander who coordinates operations whenever Bravo team is on mission and serves as the team’s leader and confidant, both on and off the battlefield.

In addition to his work on “Seal Team,” Lormand has appeared in over 70 feature films and television shows. His television credits include fellow CBS shows “NCIS: New Orleans” and “Zoo,” as well as “American Horror Story” on FX. He also played Secretary of State Robert McNamara in “Lbj” opposite Woody Harrelson, Mr. Freely in “Carter & June,” and a corrupt police officer in “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.”

He is repped by Alexander White Agency, Rugolo Entertainment, and attorney Derek Kroeger.

Judd Lormand, who heavily recurred on Season 1 of Seal Team, has been promoted to series regular for season 2 of the CBS military drama series.

Lormand plays Lieutenant Commander Eric Blackburn, the Seal Team troop commander who coordinates operations whenever Bravo team is on mission and serves as the team’s leader and confidant, both on and off the battlefield. He appeared in all 22 episodes of Season 1.

“What I love about Judd as an actor is his naturalness, his ease of performance and his ability to disappear into the role,” said John Glenn, executive producer of Seal Team. “Judd perfectly captures Blackburn as a compassionate advocate and vital leader for Bravo Team. ‘Seal Team': John Glenn to Serve as Showrunner on Season 2 Following Shake-up

John Glenn will step in as showrunner for CBS’s “Seal Team” as the CBS drama undergoes a behind-the-scenes shakeup ahead of its second season.

Series creator Benjamin Cavell and original showrunner Ed Redlich have both exited the David Boreanaz-led military drama. No reason was given for their departures.

A reliable performer for the network since its premiere last fall, “Seal Team” has averaged 9 million total viewers and a 1.5 rating among adults under 50. Hailing it as its most-watched new drama of the season, CBS handed the show an early Season 2 pickup in March, along with the Shemar Moore-led “S.W.A.T.

Juno Films has acquired all U.S. rights for Cielo, the night-sky feature documentary directed and produced by Canadian filmmaker Alison McAlpine through Second Sight Pictures.

“Cielo,” co-produced with Paola Castillo of Errante Producciones, premiered at the New York Film Festival. “Cielo” will be shown at other film festivals, leading to a summer theatrical release. The documentary explores the beauty of the night sky, as experienced in the Atacama Desert in Chile — regarded as one of the best places on the planet to study the sky.

“‘Cielo’ caught my eye and then my breath,” Juno Films founder Elizabeth Sheldon said. “It is a cinematic mediation on the stars for anyone who has gazed at the night sky and contemplated the heavens.”
