Exclusive: Aud Mason-Hyde, one of the breakouts of this year’s Sundance Film Festival, has signed with Artists First for management.

A queer trans nonbinary actor from Australia, Mason-Hyde stars opposite Olivia Colman and John Lithgow in Jimpa, a semi-autobiographical family drama from returning Sundance filmmaker Sophie Hyde. The film follows filmmaker and mother Hannah (Colman) as she takes her nonbinary teenager Frances (Mason-Hyde) on a trip to Amsterdam to visit their beloved gay grandpa Jim, aka “Jim-pa” (Lithgow).

In his review of the film out of Sundance, Deadline’s Pete Hammond called Mason-Hyde “perfectly cast.”

Brown most recently was seen starring in the seventh and final season of the CBS series Seal Team. The actor has starred on 114 episodes.

He also had a large recurring role in the HBO series Insecure opposite co-creator and star Issa Rae.

Previously, Brown appeared alongside Elijah Wood in BBC’s Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.

On the feature side, the Orlando native can next be seen starring opposite Nicky Whelan in the independent feature Last Night in Rozzie. He played a lead role in the indie City of Lies, opposite Johnny Depp, as well as a supporting role in in Netflix’s Naked opposite Marlon Wayans and Regina Hall.

Previously, Brown played DJ Yella in Universal’s Straight Outta Compton, about the emergence of rap group N.W.A in the mid 1980s; the movie grossed more than $201 million worldwide.

His death — as he was trying to help a vet at Ray (Neil Brown Jr.) and Naima’s (Parisa Fakhri) center — reverberated with the rest of Bravo throughout the rest of the sixth season as well as all of the seventh. But we could have still seen him again, in a flashback or some other way. Executive producer Spencer Hudnut, however, tells TV Insider he didn’t even try to get Thieriot back for the final episodes. “Truthfully, it was so difficult just keeping Max to finish his work Season 6 that I was not going to even try to open that can of worms,” he explains. "We played with the idea in one season where he is taking more of a command in the Havoc [control] room and trying to feel what that would feel like," the actor said. Seal Team is currently in the middle of airing its seventh and final season on Paramount+. While some fans would have liked to have seen the military drama series continue with an eighth season, lead star David Boreanaz recently explained why now was the perfect time to end Seal Team.

In an interview with Collider to promote the final season of Seal Team, Boreanaz opened up about his decision to end the show after its seventh season, explaining that he "decided to end the show the way I wanted to end the show with the character. It was over for me. I knew that, and thats what I expressed to them. I was like, 'Im done, both physically and mentally.'" The actor shared that it is "very difficult to portray these types of emotions, day in day out, when youre shooting them."

The seventh and final season of Seal Team arrives following a lengthy post-sixth season hiatus, partly caused by the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes in 2023. The long-awaited Seal Team Season 7 will arrive on Paramount+ on August 11, 2024. Paramount+ announced Seal Team's Season 7 renewal on January 18, 2023, and revealed the following November that the installment would be the series' last. Seal Team series lead David Boreanaz recently stated that the final episode, written by Spencer Hudnut and directed by Christopher Chulack, will bear the title "The Last Word."
