Every Show That Has Been Canceled in 2018
After a stellar year full of exceptional TV shows, we almost forgot that we might have to say goodbye to a few of them in 2018. Now that we've reached September, plenty of networks have already given shows like One Mississippi, Damnation, Ghosted, Roseanne, and The Break With Michelle Wolf the ax. Amazon and Netflix have been big offenders, but series on networks like NBC, The CW, and ABC aren't safe, either. Pour one out for the shows that have taken their last TV gasp ahead.

Marin Mazzie Dies: Broadway Star Of ‘Passion’, ‘Ragtime’ Was 57
Broadway actress and three-time Tony nominee Marin Mazzie died this morning in New York. She was 57.

Her death was announced by her husband, actor Jason Danieley. Mazzie had been fighting ovarian cancer since her diagnosis three years ago.

Lauded for her unforgettable performances in Ragtime, Kiss Me, Kate and, perhaps most of all, Stephen Sondheim’s 1994 musical Passion, Mazzie was mourned today by Broadway. “This is absolutely devastating,” tweeted Patti Murin of Frozen. “What a bright, shining light she was…”

“The lights of Broadway all shine a little dimmer tonight,” wrote Daniel Dae Kim, her co-star in 2016’s The King and I. “My heart goes out to Jason and all who were lucky enough to call her family or friend.”

“Beautiful, brave and inspiring,” wrote Harvey Fierstein. “A glorious voice and an even better human being…”

Mazzie made her Broadway debut in 1985 in the Huckleberry Finn musical Big River. She

San Sebastian: Films in Progress Picks ‘Los Fuertes,’ ‘The Prince,’ ‘Sirena’
Madrid — Omar Zuñiga’s “Los Fuertes,’ Sebastián Muñoz’s “The Prince” and Carlos Piñeiro’s “Sirena” have been selected for the 34th, twice-yearly, Films in Progress, a Latin American pix-in-post competition which runs Sept.24-26 at Spain’s San Sebastián Festival, representing one of the event’s biggest industry attractions for arthouse sales agents and distributors.

Strong on co-productions – a reflection if the bi-lateral and minority co-production funds in place in Brazil, Argentina and Chile – this year’s selection packs five first features – six if you count Argentine Nicolas Savignone’s prior “Los desechables” as a medium-feature – a reminder of the hordes of filmmakers pouring out of film schools in Latin America, powering up production levels dramatically over the last decade.

Some of the first-time filmmakers are, however, already well-known. A New York University’s Graduate Film Program alum, Chile’s Omar Zuñiga co-founded Santiago de Chile-based Cinestación in 2008 with

Super Troopers 2 review

Over the last few years, we have had an abundance of comedy sequels that have been yearned for by fans for many a year but in a strange case of “keep ’em waiting” many of those hit movies took their sweet time making back on the big screen. Everything from rights issues, financial backing or the star(s) of said film not keen on reprising their role have been to blame for a long waiting game. Following Anchorman, Zoolander and Dumb & Dumber, to name a few, cult-hit Super Troopers have finally saddled up for a second go round some 17 years after the original.

Broken Lizard, the comedy troupe behind the first film as well as Club Dread and Beerfest, had
