So: with season two of Stranger Things fast approaching, a remake of Stephen King’s It set to mildly trouble a whole new generation and, erm, the on-going threat of nuclear armageddon, it seems everything eighties is 'in' at the moment. And, you know what? That surely must include Dennis Quaid, right? Well, maybe not, unless you count this year’s canine reincarnation/multiple hound-homicide horror A Dog’s Purpose, which we don’t in these parts. Anyway, Quaid’s back in Blu-ray form with the recent repackaging of his 1984 quirky fantasy thriller Dreamscape.

Minds Eye Entertainment has unveiled an official trailer for a sci-fi thriller titled The Recall, from Italian concept artist/filmmaker Mauro Borrelli. The film is about a group of friends vacationing at a remote cabin lake house when aliens attack Earth. Soon they meet a mysterious "hunter" who has been predicting the alien's arrival, helping them escape safely. Wesley Snipes plays that hunter and the cast includes Rj Mitte, Jedidiah Goodacre, Vicellous Shannon, Niko Pepaj, Elisha Kriis, Hannah Rose May, Laura Bilgeri, and Guy Griffithe. This looks like a wacky, terrible, straight-to-vhs flick you'd find in the back of the video rental store. But oddly it's going to play in the special ultra-wide-screen Barco Escape cinemas. The Recall Wants to Capture Your Attention: A Preview

The Recall is an upcoming sci-fi thriller, from director Mauro Borrelli (The Wolfman). This title, which is currently in pre-production, is a co-production between: You Did It! Productions, Fotocomics Productions and Berger Bros. Entertainment. One source states that actors Wesley Snipes and Rj Mitte will star. Though, this cannot be confirmed and casting is likely to change, leading up to the shoot date. Still, a concept poster has been released for the film, along with a synopsis. Both items can be found here. In the story, a group of friends are vacationing at a cabin, by a lake. Around the world, aliens are attacking the planet and they are abducting millions of inhabitants. Two of the friends are captured and returned to Earth. Then, a second war is declared on the two friends and the other abductees. Director Borrelli has already been quoted on this film and its special effects.
