His "Golden Horseshoe Revue" (a live stage show in Disneyland's Frontierland saloon) is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest running stage production in show business history. In 1963, he provided the voice for José, the emcee parrot of Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, as well as the voice of the French parrot Pierre.
