Dave Filoni explains why Director Krennic and the Death Star didn’t feature in Star Wars Rebels

During its four-season run on Disney Xd, Star Wars Rebels featured guest appearances from a host of familiar Star Wars faces, including the likes of Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian, The Emperor, Grand Moff Tarkin and Saw Gerrera.

The latter made his live-action Star Wars debut in 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which itself featured a couple of Rebels nods such as cameos from Chopper and The Ghost. However, despite taking place in close to the same time period, the show opted against featuring Rogue One villain Director Krennic, or the Empire’s ultimate weapon, the Death Star, and Rebels creator Dave Filoni has explained why during an interview with CinemaBlend:

“At different times in Rebels in Season 4, there was a moment where even Krennic would appear in the series, where the Death Star appeared in the series, but because our show isn’t ultimately about either Krennic or the Death Star,

Exclusive Interview – Star Wars Rebels’ Steve Blum talks Zeb, Kallus and career in voice acting

Ricky Church chats with Steve Blum about Star Wars Rebels…

Earlier this year, Star Wars Rebels concluded it’s four-season run as the crew members of the Ghost made a desperate attempt to free Lothal from Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Empire’s grip. One character who went through quite a journey in the series is Garazeb Orrelios, more commonly known as Zeb. A loyal member of the Ghost, Zeb was the crew’s comic relief, but was also a fierce warrior when the situation called for fighting, one who never gave up. Zeb’s journey even took him to become friends with Kallus, an Imperial agent who ordered the slaughter of Zeb’s people, but due to his regret he saw the error of his and the Empire’s ways thanks to Zeb and defected to the Rebellion.

Dave Filoni reveals the Emperor’s objective in Star Wars Rebels

Creator of Star Wars Rebels, Dave Filoni, has discussed what The Emperor was after during his appearance on the show.

Star Wars Rebels has now finished its four season run, delivering its final episode this week. This season contained a number of surprises and must-see moments for fans, with one of these being the appearance of Emperor Palpatine himself, coming after the show’s hero Ezra.

Speaking on the final episode of Rebels Recon, Filoni explained the villain’s intentions. “He tries to play on your perceptions all the time,” said Filoni. “When he’s in the void world and he’s listening to Ezra, he hears Ezra’s wish that his life could be different and that he’d like to see his mom and dad. So he knows the alternate reality that Ezra wishes for.”

Dave Filoni discusses Star Wars Rebels finale and confirms surviving characters

Star Wars Rebels has released its final ever episode and creator Dave Filoni has discussed what went down.

Finishing up with its fourth season, Star Wars Rebels told the story of a small group of Rebels and their fight against the Empire, taking place before the events of A New Hope.

Dave Filoni, the show’s creator, sat down with The Star Wars Show after Rebels made its curtain call, and confirmed to fans that both Ezra and Thrawn survived their wild and climatic jump to hyperspace and why the show ended as it did:

“I felt a lot about that… It’s one of those things that you go ‘oh boy I love the idea of an end credits scenes’ but as tempting as that is but I go ‘well if I cover that, then I want to do it right’ and I don’t want to commit to

Phil Lamarr talks Goblins Animated!

  • Comicmix
Hey friends, have you seen this?! It’s the Indiegogo for a project called Goblins Animated, and it looks completely awesome.

It first popped up in my Instagram feed as something connected to actor/voice actor Phil Lamarr, and that was enough to get me to check it out. As it turns out, Goblins Animated is to be a new animated series based on the decade-long run of the webcomic Goblins, by creator Tarol Hunt; and is the brainchild of Tarol, Phil, and Matt King. The animated show, like the comic before it, will be the story of a D & D realm told from the point of view of the little guys, the “monsters,” instead of the adventurers. It’s a heroic tale of a group normally considered evil and weak. “Think Smurfs meets Game of Thrones.” It’s planned to start with ten episodes, and will feature famed voice actors including Billy West,

Watch: Star-Studded Smuggler's Revenge from Star Wars Celebration

Jason Reitman doesn't allow his famous Live Reads to be filmed, but if you've ever wondered what one of those events looks like, Smuggler's Revenge from this year's Star Wars Celebration is pretty close.
