Adolpho Bloch was born on October 8, 1908 in Zhitomir, Russian Empire as Avram Yossievitch Bloch. He was a producer and writer, known for Kananga do Japão (1989), Dona Beija (1986) and Tocaia Grande (1995). He was married to Anna Bentes Bloch. He died on November 19, 1995 in São Paulo, Brazil.

Owner of various enterprises, including "Bloch Editores", "Rádio Manchete" and "TV Manchete". The "TV Manchete", disappeared since 1999, already was the second biggest broadcasting station in Brazil.
Founder of Brazilian media group "Empresas Bloch" and creator of weekly magazine "Revista Manchete", in 1952.
His father and his mother was Russian.
Brother of writer Pedro Bloch.
In 1983, he obtained 5 concessions that were of the "TV Tupi"(the first TV station created in Brazil, 1950 and disappeared in 1980) and "TV Excelsior"(disappeared in 1970), and launched, in June 5th, the "TV Manchete", one of the biggest broadcasting stations in Brazil of the 1980's and 1990's.
