“Angry Birds” is coming to television.

Big Fish Entertainment is partnering with Rovio Entertainment to develop the popular mobile game as a live-action game show currently titled “Angry Birds Challenge.” It will incorporate large-scale obstacle courses with classic defense zones comprised of water, wood, ice, and stone barriers, all modeled after the game. Teams also get to pick their own challenges, which will be part of the strategy for finishing the course the fastest. They must race to reach the “castle tower” and save as many eggs as possible.

Scooby-Doo and Batman Preview Brings Mystery Inc. to Arkham Asylum

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released a new clip and two new photos for Scooby-Doo & Batman: The Brave and The Bold, which fans can pick up on DVD and Digital HD starting today. This clip features Batman (Diedrich Bader) revealing that he had no idea The Riddler was involved with Professor Milo, as Velma (Kate Micucci) stats they have to question him. Batman, on the other hand, thinks they need to sit this one out.

Fred (Fred Welker) protests Batman's assessment, stating they've "explored tons of spooky places," but Batman states that they've never been any place like this, which turns out to be Arkham Asylum. While Velma is excited for the chance to explore new levels of the "criminal psyche,

First Trailer For Scooby-Doo! And Batman: The Brave And The Bold Debuts

When Batman: The Brave and the Bold debuted on Cartoon Network back in 2008, many fans were understandably hesitant when it came to seeing a lighter take on the Caped Crusader than had been witnessed in animation for some time. But lo and behold, said animated series found much success throughout the course of its three seasons by retaining the tongue-in-cheek nature of the TV show starring Adam West and utilizing the vastness of the DC Universe in a way similar to Justice League Unlimited. Really, it’s no wonder why some felt it rivaled Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond in terms of quality.

Since its cancellation in 2011, none of us thought we’d ever be seeing the Hammers of Justice again, especially since no direct-to-video movie swiftly followed the series finale. Now, six years later, the folks at Warner Bros. Animation have decided to dust off the franchise

John Oliver Is Zazu in Disney's Lion King Live-Action Remake
John Oliver, the host of HBO's popular weekly series Last Week Tonight, has become the latest to join the talented voice cast for Disney's live-action Lion King reboot. The actor will be lending his voice to Zazu, the colorful bird who serves as an adviser to King Mufasa (James Earl Jones). The Wrap broke the news of this casting, which comes just a few months after Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner signed on to voice Pumbaa and Timon, respectively. Director Jon Favreau will utilize the same type of technology that brought the photo-realistic animals to life in the filmmaker's 2016 blockbuster The Jungle Book. Review: Batman: The Brave and the Bold The Complete Third Season

  • Comicmix
Well, it’s about time. For the last twenty-five years or so, we’ve had one animated Batman series after another but to be honest only two are really good: Batman the Animated Series and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The latter has been slowly coming out on Blu-Ray with season one in 2013 and season two in 2015. This month, we’re getting the third and final season and the good news is that it is as entertaining as remembered.

After increasingly odd interpretations of Batman, Warner Animation decided to go retro and bring back the Batman of the 1960s, who was not afraid to operate in daylight and would partner with just about anyone in a mask as the need arose. Producer James Tucker saw to it that it honored the comic the series took its name from while modernizing it with contemporary characters and characterizations. The result was

Enchanted 2 Brings Back Amy Adams, Gets Hairspray Director

Enchanted 2 Brings Back Amy Adams, Gets Hairspray Director
Nearly nine years after it first hit theaters, Disney's follow-up to Enchanted, titled Disenchaned, has finally found its director. Hairspray and Rock of Ages director Adam Shankman is in talks to direct the Enchanted sequel, which the studio has been developing since 2010. Original Enchaned star Amy Adams is expected to reprise her role as princess Giselle. Although it isn't known if James Marsden or any of the other original cast members will be back for Enchanted 2.

The original Enchanted centered on Amy Adams' Giselle, who is set to marry her Prince Charming (James Marsden) before she is taken from her animated fantasy world and thrust into our real world in New York City. There she meets a lawyer (Patrick Dempsey) who is about to marry a woman (Idina Menzel) who is completely wrong for him. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Disenchanted will take place 10 years after the original movie,

The Lion Guard: Unleash The Power DVD Review

The Lion Guard is a somewhat surprisingly good show airing on Disney Junior, and the story of Kion and his friends continues with a new DVD release The Lion Guard: Unleash the Power.

The release is the first collection of episodes available on DVD, and it’s not only a good selection because these are episodes that focus on the individual members of the Guard, but because these are some of the series’ most rewatchable efforts.

The show is not just a fun adventure for kids, but the series takes on a broad range within its episodic content, tackling some tricky issues, without actually decoding its own efforts and bogging down in overt explanation.

For example, the episode Fuli’s New Family spans a variety of issues, but chief among them is an examination of the idea that just because doing something seems objectively “right,” or, “how friends act,

Emily S. Whitten: Talking With Marvin the Martian

  • Comicmix
The thing I love about voice actors is that even if you don’t know their names or faces, you will “know that voice.” And considering voice actor Eric Bauza was responsible for one of my favorite scenes in the voice actor documentary I Know That Voice, I’m super glad that I not only know that voice, but got to interview it (and the man behind it!) at this year’s New York Comic Con.

Eric, who hails from Canada and began his animation career as a character designer who also did animatics, is now most known for the legacy voice of Marvin the Martian from The Looney Tunes Show and for a myriad of other great voices, including Tiger Claw on the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, Foop on The Fairly OddParents, Belly Bag on Uncle Grandpa, Buhdeuce on Breadwinners, Amadeus Cho on Ultimate Spider-Man and Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher,
