Lawrence Bayne is an actor of Scottish and Cree descent known for his roles in film, music videos, television series and as a voiceover actor for animation and video games. As an announcer and narrator, he has presented awards, commentated sporting events and documentaries for CBC Radio, the National Hockey League, National Geographic and others. Bayne is also an singer, poet and musician, and his band is named "Simple Damned Device".

Auditioned for the role of Wolverine on the popular animated Fox adaptation of X-Men (1992) but the part went to his friend Cathal "Cal" J. Dodd instead, whom Bayne admitted was better for the part, while Bayne himself was cast as Cable.
Friend of Cal Dodd and George Buza, among other members of the 1992 animated X-Men cast.
Lawrence started his career appearing in a Pink Floyd video (Learning to Fly) which was their first video to be aired and won multiple awards around the world. It has been released on the "Pulse" DVD.
Lawrence was a last minute replacement for August Schellenberg on a LIVE radio drama (Booster McCrane) recommended by August himself, knowing Lawrence was capable of an uncanny impersonation.
