Kevin Bayliss is a UK Video Game Artist, Animator and Voice Actor, who joined UK Games developer Rare Ltd in 1987, who are well known for producing many popular video games.

At Rare Ltd Kevin produced graphics, concepts and animation for Donkey Kong Country, Diddy Kong Racing, Battletoads, Killer Instinct, Perfect Dark Zero, Starfox Adventures and many more games, in addition to creating voices and motion capture animation for a number of titles.

Kevin progressed from trainee artist to Lead Artist, Team Leader, Head of the Art Department and eventually became Graphics Director, contributing heavily to their growth and success which ultimately led to the company being purchased in 2002 by Microsoft Game Studios.

In 2005 took a break from the games industry and left Rare to work on as a freelance artist and create music with a number of musicians and artists in the UK & Europe. In 2015 Kevin joined Playtonic Games Ltd as a 3D artist to work o

n the 'Kickstarter' funded title 'Yooka-Laylee' which was released in April 2017.

In 2020 Kevin set up the 'DK Creations Ltd' together with video game composer 'David Wise' to put together their 'Video Game Inspired' musical / art project called 'Salamandos'

Kevin still currently works at Playtonic as 3D Artist, while also running and providing artwork for DK Creations Ltd with David Wise.
