New Promo Spot For Incredibles 2 - "Done Properly, Parenting is a Heroic Act"

Disney has released another enjoyable promo spot for Pixar's Incredibles 2. It offers up a decent amount of new footage, most of which focuses on Bob hilariously trying to keep it together as he attempts to take care of his kids while his wife Helen is out trying to save the world. In the process, he gets some support from Edna.

Being a dad that works from home with my own kids, I can totally relate to what Bob is going through!

In Incredibles 2, Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges

‘This Is Us’: Will the entire Pearson family of five get Emmy nominations? [Poll]
This Is Us” received seven acting Emmy nominations last year, three of which were for members of the immediate Pearson clan of five: Chrissy Metz, Milo Ventimiglia and Sterling K. Brown, the latter of whom won Best Drama Actor. Only matriarch Mandy Moore and No. 1 of the Big Three Justin Hartley were overlooked. But can the whole family get in this year? The whole cast did win the SAG drama ensemble award.

Per our odds, Brown and Ventimiglia are the safest bets in Best Drama Actor, which would make them the first co-stars to nab back-to-back mentions in the category in 19 years. Brown, who swept the Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice and SAG Award in January, is predicted to win, with Ventimiglia, a surprise nominee last year, sitting in second place. Season 2 finally revealed how Jack (Ventimiglia) died, which gives Ventimiglia even more heat.

‘Incredibles 2’ Trailer: Mr. Incredible Is a Stay-At-Home Dad While Elastigirl Saves the World (Video)
Mr. Incredible is making the switch from Super dad to stay-at-home dad in the new “Incredibles 2” trailer.

Here, Elastigirl is recruited to lead a campaign to bring the Supers back. Bob is flummoxed that he wasn’t chosen as the new face of the Supers, but there’s plenty that heroics needed at home. Violet “has adolescence” in Dash’s words, and there’s no telling when Jack-Jack might burst into flame.

Of course, a new villain will bring the Parr family back together — but seriously, we’re concerned about that baby.

Frozone Returns in Incredibles 2 Payoff Poster, New Trailer Coming Tomorrow
Disney Pixar has released a new poster for The Incredibles 2, which serves as a precursor to the new trailer that will be released by the studio tomorrow. The poster features the entire Parr family, Bob (Craig T. Nelson), Helen (Holly Hunter), Violet (Sarah Vowell), Dash (Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack, who is starting to discover his super powers, as we can see in this one-sheet. While the Parrs, along with Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) and Edna Mode (Brad Bird) are running towards a fight, Jack-Jack seems more interested in using his laser beam eyesight to taunt a raccoon.

This poster also offers a glimpse at some of the new heroes that will be featured in this Pixar animated sequel, although they are barely noticeable on first glance, relegated to the background. While there were a few new characters introduced back in January, none of these heroes match up with what we've already seen.

Indie Spirit Awards: Greta Gerwig, Dee Rees, and Agnés Varda Win Big

Gerwig: Indie Spirit Awards/ The Hollywood Reporter

Saturday’s Indie Spirit Awards were a takedown of sexist bullshit and a celebration of inclusive talent. Hosts John Mulaney (“SNL”) and Nick Kroll (“Big Mouth”) had plenty to say about Hollywood predators at the event in La. “Let’s name some names!” exclaimed Mulaney. And that they did. Their monologue called out men including Kevin Spacey, Brett Ratner, Louis C.K. and — of course — Harvey Weinstein. They joked that “the male apology has become an art form,” citing Mario Batali’s apology that ended with a cinnamon bun recipe as particularly egregious.

The pair also mocked men who feel paranoid about interacting with women in the wake of #MeToo, saying that hugs are still okay, but “not the way you’re doing it, pal — all breathy.” “Women, people of color, what have you left us white males?” Kroll asked before answering his own question.
