    In 2005, Nick received a Commendation for Brave Conduct by the Governor General Of Australia, for his part in disarming a man who was attacking a woman with a flick knife to steal her bag. An off duty male nurse who also helped in the disarming was stabbed in the chest but survived his injuries.
