Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Jeremy Renner And Jason Statham All Part Of Warner Bros. Pictures 2018 Summer Preview

Warner Bros. Pictures has a slate of films invading cinemas this summer ranging from Teen Titans, to a Megalodon shark, along with a game of Tag and the ultimate heist by Ocean’s 8.

All the films feature A-listers Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Melissa McCarthy, Jeremy Renner and Jason Statham.

Ocean's 8 Trailer #2: Sandra Bullock Unites Her Team of Thieves

Following the eight brief trailer previews Warner Bros. released yesterday, the studio has now unveiled the full trailer for Ocean's 8. This video offers more new footage than what was released in the first trailer that debuted back in December, and with this star-studded female lineup led by Sandra Bullock, we could be looking at one of this summer's biggest hits. Here's the official synopsis from Warner Bros.

"Criminal mastermind Debbie Ocean and seven other female thieves try to pull off the heist of the century at New York's annual Met Gala. Their target, a necklace that's worth more than $150 million. New Trailer Lands For ‘Ocean’s 8’

Warner Bros. Pictures has debuted the brand new trailer for the upcoming Ocean’s 8, which hits cinemas in a couple of months’ time.

Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter are amongst the cast of the new movie, which is directed by Gary Ross.

Five years, eight months, 12 days…and counting. That’s how long Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock) has been devising the biggest heist of her life.

She knows what it’s going to take—a team of the best in their field, starting with her partner-in-crime Lou Miller (Cate Blanchett). Together, they recruit a crew of specialists: jeweller Amita (Kaling); street con Constance (Awkwafina); expert fence Tammy (Paulson); hacker Nine Ball (Rihanna); and fashion designer Rose (Bonham Carter).

Strike Back Season 6 Officially Ordered by Cinemax

Cinemax has officially announced a sixth season of their hit action show Strike Back. Strike Back is based on the book of the same name by Chris Ryan, and the first season followed John Porter (Richard Armitage) around the globe as part of a covert unit known as Section 20; he also investigated his shady boss, played by a pre-Walking Dead Andrew Lincoln. The first season was produced by Sky before Cinemax came onboard to co-produce the second series.

First Newcastle International Film Festival reveals line-up of 40 features

Last remaining 35mm print of Tyneside classic Get Carter will open the event.

The inaugural Newcastle International Film Festival has revealed a line-up of more than 200 films, with the event set to run March 29 to April 1.

The festival will host 40 features, 140 shorts, including works by filmamkers from the North East. There will also be workshops, Q&A sessions and events across the city of Newcastle.

Get Carter, starring Michael Caine in an early role, will open the festival at the Tyneside Cinema on March 29. The only remaining 35mm print of one of the most renowned Newcastle-shot films will screen

Marvel and Stitcher launch scripted podcast Wolverine: The Long Night

Marvel has announced that it has launched its first ever scripted podcast with the release of the first two episodes of Wolverine: The Long Night.

Wolverine: The Long Night follows agents Sally Pierce (Celia Keenan-Bolger) and Tad Marshall (Ato Essandoh) as they arrive in the fictional town of Burns, Alaska, to investigate a series of murders and quickly discover the town lives in fear of a serial killer. The agents team up with deputy Bobby Reid (Andrew Keenan-Bolger) to investigate their main suspect, Logan (Richard Armitage). Their search leads them on a fox hunt through the mysterious and corrupt town.

It star Jaeden Lieberher cast in Hammer horror film The Lodge

After battling Pennywise in last year’s box office smash It, young actor Jaeden Lieberher is set for a return to the horror genre, with Variety reporting that he has been cast in The Lodge.

The English-language debut of Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala (Goodnight Mommy), The Lodge “tells the story of a soon-to-be-stepmom snowed in with her fiance’s two children at a remote holiday village. Just as relations finally begin to thaw between the trio, strange and frightening events threaten to summon psychological demons from the woman’s strict religious childhood.”

The Lodge is being produced by Hammer Films and FilmNation Entertainment, and production is now underway on Montreal with a cast that also includes Riley Keough (American Honey), Richard Armitage (The Hobbit) and Lia McHugh (American Woman).
