"Fiercely independent", is how the LA Weekly described The Angel on their front cover in June 2001. This Brooklyn native has charted unparalleled ground as a woman in a male-dominated industry, blending her skills as an artist, record producer and film composer. Critically acclaimed for pioneering a sound that is both urban and electronic, her work spans many genres, incorporating acoustic with electronic instrumentation as her trademark in her original projects, production and score.

Following her work composing additional music for the films Gridlock'd (1997) and 'Til There Was You (1997), she was asked by New Line Cinema to compose the entire score for their feature Boiler Room (2000). She has since scored Let's Get Frank (2003) a documentary about Congressman Barney Frank and the Clinton impeachment hearings, director Carlos Avila's _Foto-Novelas II: Junkyard Saints (2002) (TV)_, the half-hour original drama screened in October 2003 as part of the Latino Public Broadcasting and The Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival and aired on PBS' Independent Lens series.

In 2005 Angel scored the UK feature Kidulthood (2006) a gritty drama about a group of fifteen year olds at a West London school; dealing with the tough reality of bullying, teen suicide, and the role of drugs, sex and violence in their lives. Angel then scored the documentary The Heart of the Game (2005) (the buzz movie at the 2005 Toronto Film Festival, picked up for distribution by Miramax), the six year inspirational story of a Seattle based girls' high school basketball team and its unorthodox coach. Fourth quarter 2005 Angel scored episodes of the gritty A&E/Granada USA TV series, The First 48 (2004).

Coming to Los Angeles by way of London in 1993, Angel was briefly signed to Delicious Vinyl, before establishing her own record label, Supa Crucial Recordings, firstly through licensing and later through her distribution deal with New Line Records. The Angel has released a number of albums using several artist identities. The 2001 hip hop flavored release "No Gravity," as The Angel, the releases "Tuned In Turned On" (album - 1998), "Give Me Your Love" (ep - 1999) and "Covert Movements" (album - 2004) under her electronic pseudonym 60 Channels, and her 1997 album collaboration as Jaz Klash (with More Rockers), "Thru The Haze." Her recording projects have featured an eclectic mix of guest vocalists including Angie Hart (Frente), Tre Hardson (The Pharcyde), Navigator (The Freestylers), Divine Styler, Monday Michiru, Cokni O'Dire and Mystic. Summer 2005 saw the release of a collection of remixes from her label entitled, "Supa Crucial Drum 'N Bass Remixes Vol. 1," featuring remixes by E-Sassin, Vinyl Syndicate, 60 Channels, Deep Rooted and More Rockers. Creating a body of work over the years for her record label, many titles from her catalog have been licensed to film and television shows.

The Angel's earlier work, spanning from 1993, includes remixes for Donald Byrd, The Pharcyde, Spearhead, DJ Food, The Brand New Heavies and producing artists such as Jacky Terrasson, Tre Hardson, Monday Michiru and Grammy nominee, Mystic.

The Angel has performed numerous shows in the United States and Canada as a DJ and with guest vocalists at such high profile events as; the very first Coachella Festival in 1999, The Montreal Jazz Festival, SXSW, CMJ and also a band appearance in 2001 on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn (1999) [TV-series 1999-2004] featuring Tre Hardson on vocals, DJ Drez on turntables and The Angel on keyboards.
