Watch The Thrilling Trailer For the Season Finale of The X-Files Season 11

The eleventh season of The X-Files is coming to an end. I don't know about you, but I've really enjoyed this latest season of The X-Files. There were some great and fun episodes. Fox has released the trailer for the season finale of the series and it looks like it will be a solid ending to the season as Mulder and Scully try to help their son. It looks like Mulder sees a lot of action in this season finale. The question is, will The X-Files continue after this or will this be the final episode of the series!?

With Gillian Anderson not coming back to the franchise, the future of the show is in limbo. But, creator Chris Carter has said that the series could continue without Gillian:

"I think that certainly The X-Files has more life in it, there are more stories to tell, with Gillian or without.

Tony Awards 2018: Predictions center is now open so make your 1st picks today

The Gold Derby predictions center for the 2018 Tony Awards nominations launches today with 17 categories! Nominations will be announced on Tuesday, May 1, ahead of a June 10 ceremony on CBS. With the cut-off date for Tony eligibility fast approaching on April 26, it’s time to start speculating which artists and shows will take home Broadway’s top honors.

In the race for Best Musical, all eyes will be on “The Band’s Visit.” This intimate and affecting musical from composer David Yazbek, starring Katrina Lenk and Tony Shalhoub, scored rapturous reviews in the fall. But this small scale show faces giants. Disney’s adaptation of their mega-hit “Frozen” opens later this month and Tina Fey has enlisted Tony winner Casey Nicholaw to direct her musical version of “Mean Girls.” Both are sure to be crowd-pleasers. Other competition includes the endearing and upbeat “SpongeBob SquarePants,” a celebration of legendary director Hal Prince in “Prince of Broadway,

Stage Door: "My Fair Lady" through the Years

by Nathaniel R

Tony season is (nearly) upon us so we're reviving the Stage Door column toward the end of March. But before we start reviewing shows, a history lesson.

Julie Andrews and Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Dolittle

My Fair Lady began its classic life in 1956 as a Broadway musical. No, that's not quite right. It began its life as George Bernard Shaw's play Pygmalion, which premiered way back in 1913, over a century ago! That play inspired the stage musical by Lerner & Loewe. On March 15th previews will begin for the latest Broadway revival. Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) headlines as Eliza Dolittle, with Harry Hadden-Paton as Professor Henry Higgins, two time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz (♥︎) as Eliza's father, and showbiz legend Dame Diana Rigg (The Avengers, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Game of Thrones, etc...) as Higgins' mother.

This will be the sixth major incarnation of the hit musical.

"The X-Files," Season 11, Episode 3 Recap: Back To Our Bread And Butter

  • MUBI
X-Files Recap is a weekly column by Keith Uhlich covering Chris Carter's 10-episode continuation of the X-Files television series. To know someone intimately is to risk familiarity, and we all know what that breeds. Not that FBI Special Agents and ex-flames Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) are contemptuous of each other, exactly. Their disdain is more often directed inward, at those subconscious voices that dissuade and derail, reminding them that the clock (on both their work and on life itself) is always ticking. The duo's flirty, jargon-heavy banter is, beyond its innumerable surface pleasures (could any other pair so bewitchingly debate Gastaut-Geschwind syndrome?), a defense mechanism against the devils within and without. Find that one person who you can most easily converse with, whose sentences you don’t just finish but practically prophesy, and nothing can hold you back. That’s how it should ideally work,

The X-Files creator Chris Carter says he won’t return to the series without Gillian Anderson

The creator of The X-Files has revealed that he will not be returning for a new season of the show without Gillian Anderson.

The X-Files returned for its eleventh season this week, after having first debuted 25 years ago. We do not know what the future will hold for the sci-fi series, however, as one of its stars, Gillian Anderson, has said that this season will be her last.

The future beyond season 11 is now even more in doubt as the show’s creator, Chris Carter, has that he would not want to be invovled with The X-Files without Anderson.

Speaking to Collider regarding Anderson’s character Dana Scully, Carter said: “For me, The X-Files is Mulder and Scully. I think if it were without Scully, I wouldn’t do it. That’s not my X-Files.”

“I’m always thinking that this could be it. I don’t know what the future holds.

The X-Files' enduring legacy

Chris Longo Jan 5, 2018

David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Chris Carter and others talk about what has made The X-Files a pop culture staple...

Nobody blinks when there’s a monster lurking around the set of The X-Files. Nine seasons, two feature films, and a six-episode revival would condition any actor or crew member to treat the paranormal as just another day at the office. But what happens when a superfan invades the production?

Gillian Anderson confirms that new season of The X-Files will be her last

The X-Files makes its return this week for its eleventh season, and after teasing back in October that this could be her last, actress Gillian Anderson has now confirmed to TV Guide that she has decided to call time on her role as FBI Special Agent Dana Scully.

“I’ve said from the beginning this is it for me,” said Anderson. “I was a bit surprised by people’s [shocked] reaction to my announcement…because my understanding was that this was a single season.”

Despite Anderson’s decision, X-Files creator Chris Carter has suggested that the show could continue beyond this eleventh season, stating that: “There are a lot more X-Files stories to tell. Whether we get to tell them is a question mark.”

Presumably, another question mark is whether people would want to see more X-Files stories without Gillian Anderson’s Dana Scully.

The Tension Builds in This New Promo Spot For The X-Files Season 11

We've got another promo spot for you to watch for The X-Files Season 11! As you'll see, the tension is building as Agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are looking for their son. They also are forced to reluctantly team up with Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi), who they seem to have lost trust in.

This next season will consist of ten episodes. Two of them will continue the saga story, and the rest will be more standalone "monster of the week" episodes. I'm so excited to see what creator Chris Carter and his team have in store. When teasing what we can expect, a previous report revealed:

With more monster-of-the-week episodes this season, fans can expect season 11 to be united in theme but varied in tone. After episode one delves into the Cigarette Smoking Man’s (William B. Davis) backstory and apparent family ties to Mulder, the second hour
