Eddie Allen, originally from Baltimore, and a graduate of Towson, has always enjoyed performing. As he explained in a 2012 interview, "It's probably because of my mom and her love of drama. She fled Baghdad, Iraq to be an actress. She instilled in me from an early age, 'Act, play, and enjoy life!'" His father, Paul Stephen Allen aka Panos Sarkis Peltekian, served with the British Army in WWI after fleeing Turkey and the Armenian genocide.
When Eddie was in his twenties, he toured the country with a Comedia Del'Arte Company and a One-Man-Mime-Show. After years of seeing friends from college working steadily in film and television, he left the touring life and moved to NYC. It was in LA, where he moved in 1983, that he met his wife, Anamyn Turowski. They have two sons, Ian and Oliver. In 2007 they moved back to NY, this time upstate. Eddie's thrilled to be back on the East Coast, enjoying the seasons. Living in the country also awakened his urge to write. In 2011 he co-wrote and performed the play "Finding Fathers" with his friend and writing partner Rob Leo Roy. They are currently working on a new play, one about brothers and life and the all of it.
