Proudly sharing his birthday with Bruce Lee and Jimi Hendrix, Kenny Alfonso was raised on the highly competitive baseball fields of Tampa, FL following his funny Dad around while learning to hit the curveball. After 4 years playing college baseball, the Austin Peay graduate spent time as a State Attorney's Investigator, selling Securities and as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep all by the age of 27. That same year, Kenny was transferred from Tampa to Atlanta and on a whim, pursued a childhood dream and began taking acting and improv classes. Imitating his comedy heroes and making people laugh at his own original characters and comedic voices came naturally and he believed he could be a sketch comic, whatever that meant. He soon landed his first lead role on stage in John Patrick Shanley's "Italian American Reconciliation". Not long after that, he booked his first of 8 Georgia Lottery commercials. Throwing a curveball of his own, Kenny suddenly left 'Big Pharma' and became a full-time actor. When work was slow, he continued taking classes, writing and performing his original characters and working on all the indie films he could. Fast-forward 20 years and Kenny is an accomplished character actor, producer, comedy writer and lends his many voices to animation along with TV and radio commercials. On film, he's featured in "The Founder", "Ride Along", "Kill the Messenger", "Finding Steve McQueen" and "The Bay" along with multi-award winning indie films "Petunia" and "White Bitch Down" to name a few. On TV, Kenny is reoccurring on "Saints & Sinners" on the Bounce Network and reoccurred in 6 seasons on the Lifetime Network hit "Drop Dead Diva". Other credits include; "Nashville", "Greenleaf", "Secrets & Lies", "Halt & Catch Fire", "Second Generation Wayans", "Prison Break" and Tyler Perry's "House of Payne", among others. He was also the Co-host of "Barkitecture", a 'How To' show on the D.I.Y. Network and HGTV. As the official 'Barkitect', Kenny built custom doghouses for rescued and adopted dogs and their new forever families. Kenny has appeared in over 90 national and regional commercials and has performed on stage from coast-to-coast at comedy festivals and in his own sketch comedy shows. As an entrepreneur, he's the Co-founder and Co-owner of The Goods Inc. (TGI). Founded in 1999, TGI is the Atlanta-based clothing company connected by The Goods® Brand and it's meaning of self-belief and empowerment. The Goods® - "If you got it, wear it!" When time and schedules allow, Kenny writes and produces sketch comedy along with longtime partner Melissa Ponzio in their real-life comedy duo, "Kenny & Mel". He loves all dogs and loves to dance. He also loves to dance with dogs.
