Terminator 6 officially titled Terminator: Dark Fate

Back in February, producer James Cameron revealed that the upcoming Terminator reboot/sequel has been going by the working title Terminator: Dark Fate, and now we have official confirmation that Paramount Pictures will be sticking with that title.

Terminator: Dark Fate reunites Cameron with original Terminator stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, for what is said to be a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day which will ignore the events of latter movies. Deadpool helmer Tim Miller is directing.

As well as the title, Paramount has also confirmed that it is sticking with its November 1st release date plans, despite competition from Sony’s Charlie’s Angels reboot starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska and directed by Elizabeth Banks.

‘Shrill’: Can This ‘Revolutionary’ Fat-Positive Comedy Inspire Industry-Wide Change?
Like the Lindy West memoir that inspired it, Hulu’s “Shrill” tackles abortion, Internet trolling, love, and being fat. It’s a perspective that executive producer Elizabeth Banks describes as “revolutionary” — especially after she was left nonplussed when a female journalist at the Television Critics Association winter press tour asked: “You’ve been gorgeous your whole life. What did you understand about this material?”

Banks answered the question by simply saying the Aidy Bryant comedy is “something that everyone can relate to.” But afterward, she told IndieWire, “We left the panel, and we thought, ‘We have to make a hundred more of these shows, so that this just gets normal. … Lindy’s book points out that if you put a character like this on television, and make her a role model, that will be revolutionary.”

Added West, “There’s this great lie that if you spend all your money and

Paramount Titles James Cameron Produced ‘Terminator’ Sequel; Pic Will Stay Put On Nov. 1 Against ‘Charlie’s Angels’
The Tim Miller-directed, James Cameron produced Terminator movie will now be known as Terminator: Dark Fate. And by the way, Nov. 1 looks to still be a blood bath with two franchise movies, Paramount/Skydance’s Terminator: Dark Fate and Sony’s Charlie’s Angels fighting for the masses.

As far as we hear, Paramount has no intentions whatsoever of moving Terminator: Dark Fate. They’re extremely confident in the movie. Let’s face it, both titles are aimed at older males. There might be the thinking that Charlie’s Angels is squarely aimed at females, but female-action driven pics can be a challenge when it comes to drawing women: Look what happened at Alita: Battle Angel, and in the first weekend of release, Disney’s Captain Marvel drew more males.

The reason why Sony selected Nov. 1 for its Elizabeth Banks-directed Charlie’s Angels reboot is because that’s

A Fat Girl’s Take on ‘Shrill’ (Column)

A Fat Girl’s Take on ‘Shrill’ (Column)
A week after “Captain Marvel” lit up the box office, fighting off superhero fatigue and online trolls who feel a female superhero isn’t “realistic,” since apparently only men can shoot fire from their hands, there’s another project that is looking to break barriers. On Friday, streaming service Hulu drops all six episodes of “Shrill,” a dramedy starring Aidy Bryant as Annie, a female journalist who is — and the series doesn’t mince words — fat.

When advertising for “Shrill” first began popping up a few weeks ago featuring Bryant clad in a maroon bathing suit, the reaction was immediate. Many women, myself included, took to social media to talk about how they never expected to see someone “who looks like me” plastered on 14-foot-tall billboards around Los Angeles. There was the inevitable negativity that comes with, well, anything on the internet, but overall the response seemed to indicate we

Disney Reinstates Director James Gunn For ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 3’
Exclusive: Redemption and second chances have long been superhero movie staples, and today it looks like life has imitated art. I’ve learned that Disney has reinstated James Gunn as the writer-director of Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and I’ve confirmed it with Marvel and Gunn’s camp.

The decision to rehire Gunn –he was fired last July by Disney after alt-right journalists made public a fusillade of decade old social media missives that made light of pedophilia and rape — was one that was mulled and actually made months ago, following conversations with Disney studio leadership and the team at Marvel Studios. Why the change of heart? After the firing, Walt Disney Studios president Alan Horn met with Gunn on multiple occasions to discuss the situation. Persuaded by Gunn’s public apology and his handling of the situation after, Horn decided to reverse course and reinstate Gunn.

The social media messages were indefensible,

Eva Green doesn't think it would make sense for James Bond to be a woman

With Daniel Craig's fifth and final film as James Bond now a little over a year away, it will soon be time for a new actor to take on the mantle of 007, and some believe that the role should be given to a woman. Several actresses, including Emilia Clarke, Priyanka Chopra, Gillian Anderson, and Elizabeth Banks, have expressed their desire to play a gender-swapped version of Bond, but one…

Iconic Bond Girl Eva Green Says 007 Should Always Be Played by a Man
With Daniel Craig leaving the 007 franchise following the release of Cary Fukunaga’s Bond 25 in April 2020, all eyes are already focusing on who will be tapped to fill the actor’s shoes and lead the next era of Bond movies. Names such as Idris Elba and Richard Madden continue to be rumored, although some actors such as Elizabeth Banks and Gillian Anderson have proposed gender-flipping the character and introducing the world’s first female Bond. Eva Green, a 007 icon having played Vesper Lynd in Craig’s first Bond movie “Casino Royale,” believes wherever Bond goes next the character should remain played by a man.

“I’m for women, but I really think James Bond should remain a man,” Green told Vanity Fair on the “Dumbo” red carpet. “It doesn’t make sense for him to be a woman. Women can play different types of characters, be in action movies,
