Antoine Duhamel was born on July 30, 1925 in Valmondois, Val-d'Oise, France as Antoine Dominique Duhamel. He was a composer, known for Pierrot le Fou (1965), Frances Ha (2012) and The Dreamers (2003). He died on September 11, 2014 in Valmondois.

Son of Georges Duhamel and Blanche Albane. He studied at the Conservatoire under Olivier Messiaen and René Leibowitz.
He founded the École de musique de Villeurbanne in 1980. He won the Georges-Enesco prize in 1977. He was administrator of the Sacem from 1987-1994.
