A Simple Favor Trailer Pulls Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively Into a Mystery

Lionsgate has released the first trailer for the thriller A Simple Favor. The trailer asks the question, what happened to Emily? It leans so heavily on this idea, in fact, that the question could be confused for the title of the movie. But the question is more getting to the heart of what is at the center of this movie's mystery. To that point, the trailer is really a teaser in the true sense of the word, as it doesn't give too much away, other than the central mystery at hand and some intriguing shots from the movie.

A Simple Favor centers around Stephanie, a mommy vlogger who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily's sudden disappearance from their small town. Stephanie is joined by Emily's husband Sean in this thriller filled with twists and betrayals, secrets and revelations, love and loyalty, murder and revenge. The novel

Trailer For Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively's Murder Mystery Revenge Film A Simple Favor

This new film, A Simple Favor, isn't what it seems to be. It interestingly comes off as a quirky kind of comedy, but I saw a full trailer for it at CinemaCon that offered a lot more detail on the story than this recently released teaser trailer does. I wish you saw the trailer that I did. It actually made the film look like a very intriguing and dark murder mystery revenge film. But, you'll just have to live with this teaser trailer for now.

The movie was directed by Paul Feig (Ghostbusters) and it stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, who plays a psychopath. The story "centers around Stephanie (Kendrick), a mommy vlogger who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily's (Lively) sudden disappearance from their small town. Stephanie is joined by Emily's husband Sean (Henry Golding) in this stylish thriller filled with twists and betrayals,

First Teaser for 'A Simple Favor' Starring Anna Kendrick & Blake Lively

"Everybody has a dark side... Some of us are better at hiding it than others." Lionsgate has released the teaser trailer for a film titled A Simple Favor, the latest from acclaimed director Paul Feig. Even though he's been making comedies, this film is not a comedy, more of a mystery thriller in the vein of Gone Girl or The Girl on the Train. Anna Kendrick plays a mommy vlogger who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily's sudden disappearance from their small town. Blake Lively co-stars as Emily, and this also stars Linda Cardellini, Henry Golding, Rupert Friend, Eric Johnson, Jean Smart, Sarah Baker, and Andrew Rannells. I'm glad to see Feig shaking things up and doing something different, and this first tease is very slick - I dig the music and the mysterious clues. Here's the first teaser trailer (+ teaser poster) for Paul Feig's A Simple Favor,

Tina Fey (‘SNL’) could set record for most wins in Best Comedy Guest Actress Emmy category

Tina Fey (‘SNL’) could set record for most wins in Best Comedy Guest Actress Emmy category
Tina Fey hasn’t even hosted “Saturday Night Live” yet, but our pundits have her atop our Best Comedy Guest Actress Emmy predictions already. If she does indeed win, the former “SNL” head writer will stand alone with a record three victories in the category.

Fey has two guest Emmys at home for “SNL,” winning in 2009 on the strength of her Sarah Palin impersonation and in 2016 for co-hosting with Amy Poehler. She’s in a seven-way tie with Colleen Dewhurst, Kathryn Joosten, Cloris Leachman, Jean Smart, Tracy Ullman and Betty White with two wins.

Sign Up for Gold Derby’s free newsletter with latest predictions

Fey is scheduled to host the season finale of “SNL” on May 19 and will surely be one of the show’s main priorities in the category. And it’s certainly not presumptuous to think she’ll make the cut sight unseen; she’s an Emmy

Legion: Season Two Viewer Votes

How well do David Haller and the team rise to the challenge during the second season of the Legion TV show on FX? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether the TV show Legion is cancelled or renewed for season three. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren't considered, we'd like to offer you the chance to rate all of the Legion season two episodes below. An FX sci-fi drama centering on the X-Men character, Legion stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Aubrey Plaza, Bill Irwin, David Negahban, Jemaine Clement, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Hamish Linklater, and Jean Smart. Dan Stevens comments on whether other X-Men characters could appear in Legion

Dan Stevens, the star of Legion for FX, has commented on if other X-Men characters could make an appearance on the show.

Legion returned to TV screens this week for its second season, having previously impressed critics and audiences with its visually audacious take on the character of David Haller (Professor X’s son).

Speaking on Larry King Now (via ComicBook.com), Stevens said that while there were no plans for David to appear in any future X-Men film, that it is possible for some X-Men characters to feature on Legion:

“That’s a good question,” Stevens said. “That’s probably a question for some execs over at Fox rather than me. There’s definitely scope for that. Again, in the X-Men universe, David Haller is the bastard son of Professor X, Charles Xavier, played by Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy in the movies. He’s definitely referred to and referenced throughout the seasons,

‘Legion 2×01′ Review

Legion is a show that is unlike any other, it proved that in the first season, and now it is back the first episode has arrived with a mind-blowing bang. If you expected any semblance of normality from this show, you’ll be disappointed. One thing you can be sure of is Legion is back and better than ever.

David (Dan Stevens) is back, but in the time, he has been gone things have changed for his friends. With Amahl Farouk (Navid Negahban) still at large, Division 3 need all the help they can get. The question is, just what is David hiding?

What this episode has proven to me is that Legion is my favourite show, unless Twin Peaks returns for another season of course. A lot has changed in the world of Legion between season one and two, with the most important change being that everybody works for Division 3 now.
