Alden Ehrenreich reveals he is set to return to the role of Han Solo for two more Star Wars movies

Solo: A Star Wars story has yet to hit our cinemas, but the actor playing the young Han Solo, Alden Ehrenreich, has had a bout of the Tom Holland’s; he has let slip he will be returning to the role of Han Solo in two more Star Wars projects.

During an interview with Esquire, Ehrenreich let slip he had signed up for three movies as the younger version of the character made famous by Harrison Ford. After being asked how many he has signed up for he replied “Three” before realising he may have just got himself into trouble with Lucasfilm, “I don’t know if that’s officially, uh, public. But—yeah.”

So for anyone thinking his outing may have been just a one-off, we can now expect him to develop the character further. Whether it will be in further spin-offs or sequels to Solo isn’t clear.

Sam Rockwell Joins Scarlett Johansson in Taika Waititi’s WWII Film Jojo Rabbit

I'm a huge fan of Sam Rockwell so I'm extremely excited to hear that he will be working with Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi on his World War II film Jojo Rabbit. He will also be teaming up again with Scarlett Johansson, who was previously cast.

This is actually a really fascinating story that centers on a character named Jojo, "a young boy who longs to be part of the Hitler Youth and whose imaginary friend is Adolf Hitler. He discovers a Jewish girl living in his attic and, after initially trying to find ways to get rid of her, begins to see her as human."

Johansson is playing Jojo’s mother, a woman who is secretly working for the resistance. Waititi is playing the imaginary Hitler, and Rockwell will play a Nazi captain who runs a Hitler Youth camp.

This is such a different kind of film for Taika Waititi to tell,

‘Woman Walks Ahead’ Trailer: A Passionate Jessica Chastain Travels West to Join a Revolution — Watch
It’s no less than Jessica Chastain who serves as the eponymous woman at the heart of Susanna White’s latest Tiff premiere, a historical drama that follows the fascinating true story of portrait painter Caroline (also known as Catherine) Weldon (Chastain). The activist and artist dedicated her life to helping Native Americans, and in the summer of 1889, she decamped for Dakota Territory to live among the people she was so passionate about helping.

White’s film is mostly occupied with chronicling Weldon’s friendship with Sitting Bull (Michael Greyeyes) and how it eventually led to her painting his portrait and her closer involvement with the native people during a time of tremendous pain and pressure. The film’s first trailer follows that bond, including a heart-pounding build-up to what looks to be an explosive showdown between the Native Americans and a group of encroaching soldiers (including an appropriately menacing Sam Rockwell).

Catherine Weldon (Chastain) heads out of New York to paint Sitting Bull (Michael Greyeyes) just as tensions start to boil between the Lakota reservation and the U.S. Army, so many perceive Weldon’s travel as a threat.

“They all think that you and me are planning some kind of uprising,” Chastain says in the trailer. “The only battle I’ve ever fought against is insignificance.”

Jessica Chastain Goes on a Dangerous Journey West in the Woman Walks Ahead Trailer

It looks like Jessica Chastain has another powerful character to add to her résumé. In the first trailer for Woman Walks Ahead, the Molly's Game actress stars as Catherine Weldon, an artist who travels from Brooklyn to Dakota in the 1890s to paint a portrait of Hunkpapa Lakota leader Sitting Bull. As she gets closer to him, she finds herself entangled in his peoples' struggle for their land from the Us government and in particular danger from Colonel Silas Groves (Sam Rockwell).

Woman Walks Ahead, directed by Susanna White, is actually based on the true story of Catherine Weldon, who grew to be a well-known 19th century artist and activist for the National Indian Defense Association. The film hits Directv on May 31 and arrives in theaters on June 29.

Trailer for Susanna White's 'Woman Walks Ahead' with Jessica Chastain

"The only battle I've fought against is insignificance." "So live long." A24 has debuted the official trailer for an indie drama titled Woman Walks Ahead, the latest feature from filmmaker Susanna White. The film tells the remarkable true story of Catherine Weldon, played by Jessica Chastain, a portrait painter from Brooklyn. In the 1890s, she travels to the Dakota Territory to paint a portrait of Sitting Bull and becomes embroiled in the Lakota peoples' struggle over the rights to their land. The cast includes Michael Greyeyes as Sitting Bull, Chaske Spencer, Sam Rockwell, Ciarán Hinds, Michael Nouri, and Bill Camp. This looks exceptional, and seems to have come out of nowhere but it did premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. I really want to know what Sitting Bull and her talk about. Jessica Chastain Heads West in First Trailer for ‘Woman Walks Ahead’

On the film festival circuit last fall, Jessica Chastain brought two films, but in order to not distract from the awards ambitions of Molly’s Game, the other was held until this year. Now ahead of a summer release, A24 has debuted the first trailer for the western Woman Walks Ahead, which comes from director Susanna White (Our Kind of Traitor) and writer Steven Knight.

Following the true story of an artist from New York who comes to Standing Rock in the 1880s in order to paint a portrait, but is met with a look at the government’s intrusion on Native American land, it certainly has unfortunately timely connotations. Also starring Michael Greyeyes, Chaske Spencer, and Oscar winner Sam Rockwell, see the trailer and poster below ahead of a DirecTV bow next month and a theatrical release in June.

Sam Rockwell Joins Cast of Taika Waititi Film ‘Jojo Rabbit’

Sam Rockwell Joins Cast of Taika Waititi Film ‘Jojo Rabbit’
Sam Rockwell, hot off his Oscar-winning performance in 2017’s “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” is joining Scarlett Johansson in “Thor: Ragnarok” director Taika Waititi’s Nazi Germany satire, “Jojo Rabbit,” a representative for Rockwell told TheWrap.

TheWrap initially broke the news that “Jojo Rabbit” would be Waititi’s next film. He will also be stepping in front of the camera to star in the film as an imaginary version of Adolf Hitler.

The film centers around a young boy, Jojo, who struggles to fit in and resorts to his imaginary friend, Hitler, who offers advice and helps him cope. Jojo then discovers that his mother (Johansson) is secretly working for the resistance and hiding a 15-year-old Jewish girl in their house.

Rockwell will play a Nazi captain who runs a Hitler Youth camp.

“It’s my version of… a lonely boy’s best version of his hero, which is really his dad,” Waititi told TheWrap in March.

Waititi’s depiction of Hitler won’t be meant as a sympathetic, but rather an invention of 10-year-old Jojo, who misses his dad, and, confused by Nazi propaganda, imagines a figure who is a combination of his father and the führer.

The film, which was eyeing a late-May production start, will be distributed by 20th Century Fox’s independent division, Fox Searchlight. The release is likely to be one of the first releases under the Disney umbrella, which said in December it plans to buy the studio as part of a $52.4 billion acquisition of parts of the larger Fox empire.

Waititi, who also wrote the script for “Jojo Rabbit,” had break-out success with last year’s “Thor: Ragnarok.” The film earned $854 million at the worldwide box office along with critical success.

Before “Jojo Rabbit,” Rockwell will appear as former President George W. Bush alongside Christian Bale in the Adam McKay directed “Backseat.”

2019 Oscars: Best Supporting Actor Predictions

2019 Oscars: Best Supporting Actor Predictions
At this point, many are ready to hand the Oscar to “Black Panther” star Michael B. Jordan, given Killmonger’s status as the most layered Marvel villain thus far.

While last year brought the battle of the mothers at the Oscars, a series of fathers could compete in 2019. Matthew McConaughey plays the father of the youngest FBI informant ever in “White Boy Rick.” Steve Carell is the beleaguered dad of a young drug addict (Timothée Chalamet) in “Beautiful Boy.” In “Boy Erased,” Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman are the Baptist parents of an outed gay teen (Lucas Hedges) who battles his conversion therapist (writer-director Joel Edgerton).

It will be the battle of the Scorsese vets in “The Irishman,” as Harvey Keitel, Joe Pesci and Al Pacino vie for supremacy in more ways than one.

Oscar-winner Sam Rockwell could be back in the race as George W. Bush in Adam McKay’s “Backseat,
